Andrew McCarthy reached out to Judd Nelson to join The Brat Pack reunion but Nelson "politely declined".
Anthony Michael Hall, another generally accepted Brat Pack member, is neither shown on screen (besides stock footage) nor is any attempt shown on screen to contact him.
McCarthy said none of the actors liked the term Brat Pack at first - who wants to be called a "brat" and part of a "pack"? After writing his book about his career in the '80s, he took a 180-degree turn and began to embrace it. So he decided to do the documentary to find out what his fellow actors thought after all these years.
When Andrew McCarthy asked Molly Ringwald to be in the documentary, she said she would think about it but would probably like to continue moving forward. There are clips of her from movies but otherwise she doesn't appear.
According to the New York article, the first Brat Pack movie was Taps (1981).
