Whitbey addresses Colin as "Sire", but that form of address is typically reserved for reigning kings in Europe. Since Colin is a prince, Whitbey should address him as "Your Highness".
The movie was obviously shot in the autumn. You can see the mix of light green and yellow deciduous trees, grass, and bushes. They tried to hide it with close up shots and artificial snow, but several wide shots clearly show it's autumn. Not a single tree was without leaves which is impossible in December in the norther USA or Canada where was actually shot.
Despite being a prince from a fictitious European nation, Prince Colin wears dress blues with the Lance Corporal insignia from the American Marine Corp.
Dee Dee's accent changes between American and a heavy Queens accent throughout the movie.
