Just in from rural Kansas, a young couple struggles to survive in the city that never sleeps. Long nights, dark days, and tightly gripped pocket books become a way of life until finally, in an act of desperation, grad student Rena Ness and her struggling artist boyfriend Joe have no choice but to leave the comfort of student housing and rent a room. Be careful who you rent from takes on new meaning as fate brings them to the door of Landlady Mimi Rodington and her Russian boy toy, Andre Waykoff. Mental illness under one roof is at an all-time high as Andre, a hulk of a man with a mind of a child, play's with his toy cars and pretends to fix things while Mimi spins lies, deceit, and deception until madness overcomes - and the house becomes a house of horrors.
