Having said that, this film is really awful! The acting is ridiculous the plot and the writing are even more ridiculous! Don't waste your time. I really don't understand people who gave this film 9 and 10 stars. Just terrible.

Don't let the creepy looking cover and an oddly intriguing if not exactly original idea for a story, have always found those to be interest points when watching a film regardless of budget, decade and genre (and along with talented casts and completest sake they also tend to be my main reasons for viewing something), deceive you. Always try to be a subjective person with every intent of being balanced and perceptive, but 'Clinton Road' has so little to recommend it and has no real appeal at all.
'Clinton Road's' only real redeeming merit is that it starts off decently. It was eerie, held my attention and at least it didn't make me want to stop continuing. That is an extremely rare occurance just to say, not finishing something that means, no matter the temptation. Also never judge a film without seeing the whole thing in order to be fair, and being someone who hates it when people brag about walking out or leaving a viewing unfinished.
Unfortunately, 'Clinton Road' takes a complete 180 nose-dive after a decent start and worsens rather than improves. There is nothing atmospheric about the way it looks with the paranormal aspects sticking out like a sore thumb in cheapness and the complete anti-thesis too of scary. The direction meanders all over the place visually, tonally and in creating any momentum.
The dialogue was very suggestive of the writers having written it in a rush with no enthusiasm, almost like they did it for a favour or something. That may not have been the case and no disrespect is intended but it came across that way. The story is tediously paced and can be uneventful, much of it doesn't make sense and very difficult to take it for what it tries to be. There is hardly anything tense or suspenseful and any attempts at anything creepy are predictable and unintentionally funny.
None of the characters engage and the acting is all round never more than bad and is often dreadful. The big names Eric Roberts (who has been churning in for a while now) and Ice-T (who has never really been much good outside of 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit') phone in with pretty much nothing to work with. In my mind money was the reason as to why they got involved in the first place, and man must they have been desperate.
In conclusion, very, very bad apart from the start. 2/10

All the good reviews must have been made by relatives of the cast and the director or the reviewers have been paid to comment
The plot is lame, the acting appalling , the make up is a joke
It seems more like a cheap comedy than a horror b movie
Lousy !!!
Watch something else... little house on the prairie may be

Either Ice T adn Eric Roberts really REALLY need the money or there were some primo drugs available for free during the making of this movie.
There is not one thing to recommend it.

Just a bad movie all around. Ice T has basically a cameo in the movie, all the main actors are nobody's. All the people giving the movie good reviews mention the local folklore around the area, but fail to mention that the movie itself is totally different and poorly done.
It's slow and meandering and makes zero sense. It's cheesy and stupid and worst of all boring. The last thing it can be called is scary. The acting is terrible and amateur, but the material they had to work with is worse, so I don't know who's really to blame.

There wasn't a single thing scary about this flick.
All those 9 & 10 ratings are clearly from people who worked on the film or family and friends.
Budget: $2,500,000 (estimated)
Cumulative Worldwide Gross: $50,400
9/10 stars...?? Yeah right....

Being from Jersey, I always heard stories about Clinton Road. So, when I came across this film, I was really excited to watch it. While it was scary at times, I couldn't look away. Awesome storyline and cast. Definitely a great movie for those of you who like thrillers. Especially since it is based on an actual road. Highly recommend!

I've been waiting for somebody to make a movie about this place and they finally did it! Who doesn't love Ice-T? I thought he did a great job in this movie and the rest of the cast. Wish the story held on mid-way but still we were glued to the screen to the very end. Bravo

Low budget isn't always a bad thing, but for it to work you need some solid ideas, good writing or a creative premise. This movie has none of that. They just seem to have chosen a few random horror tropes and thrown them together with no logic whatsoever. They added some nudity to try keep your attention but given she was randomly banging her seizuring boyfriend it made no sense at all. Give it a miss, there's nothing here for you.
I've had a broken arm that was less painful than watching this movie.About half way through the movie I was praying for death to come to ME.I grew up near Clinton Rd,this could have been a good story.
Only pro....good aerial view of the road

Either the reviews are fake or these people have zero standards. First off the cover art is a freaking lie. It implies there's a creature. Nope, not even one. Then there's the terrible soundtrack and score. It sounds like a failed DJ put this together after listening to his nieces dubstep and rap mixes. And the pacing is so slow that it makes the 78 minutes runtime feel like 2 hours. Oh, and the club scene makes me I honestly believe they started out making a completely separate film. There's about 20 minutes of footage taken inside of a club with the worst music known to mankind where we're exposed to nonsensical subplots that hold no relevance whatsoever to the main story. Additionally the actual plot makes zero sense. Nothing is explained and nothing about the events in the woods are scary. The film's pace hobbles along like the main protagonist to the point that it actually enacts how we've felt watching this crapfest from the start when we see one character helping another limp up a dirt road in real-time. The director and producers should have burned the negative and collected the insurance on this one cause this was a dumpster fire from start to finish.

As a "horror" it's a "1." But as a comedy, which is really what it is, it's a "2." Appearances made by Eric Roberts, Ice-T, Big Puss, and that kid from Big Brother was a nice touch though. Baffling that any of them wouldn't have rejected the part after reading how bad the script was. Who knows though ... maybe they needed the money?

Worst horror / paranormal movie I have EVER seen in my whole life! The acting is Fake. The paranormal aspects are so plain, that it should not be classified as paranormal at all! Horror movie they say HA! I feel asleep 7 times watching this.

Just seen it on Prime and it kept us entertained. Eric Roberts is a great actor, he was a stand out. Don't judge the rating on here till you see it!

I was pretty shocked when I heard about this movie so I decided to watch it on Prime and I was sadly disappointed. Now when I first started watching it Mike's light and it was hell because I saw a few big names but these big names had small parts. Small portion of the last half of the movie is the actual horror part and it wasn't very scary at that it just reminded me of very low budget film a low budget film with really big names in it they could have done much much better

The two headliners were 2 minute cameos. Words cannot describe how slow and idiotic this movie was. To top it off,the ending was trying to be thought provoking and was instead lame
