Watched this as part of the east end film festival. Compared to the other movies I saw during the week it was really unusual. Never did what I expected and managed to take a by-the-numbers setup and turn it into something unique. Really impressive performance from the lead actress who must be in every scene. Also good sound and music (although it sometimes got a bit repetitive) and the camera-work and locations were great. Bizarre dream sequences that included a scene to be avoided by the squeamish or members of PETA. Best though was a twist half way through I really didn't see coming. You get so used to films doing things a certain way & 'The Pharmacist' felt like it just wasn't paying attention. My main criticism was that the ending seemed a bit incomplete. I believed it but just wanted something more. However, it still gave me something to think about and I would definitely recommend.
