Fox is going all in for reality.
The network has ordered “The Masked Singer,” a new celebrity competition series, which will be hosted by Nick Cannon and is set to bow in January 2019.
The series, based on a South Korean format, features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with a mask to conceal his or her identity. The host, panelists, audience, viewers and the other contestants are all left guessing who is singing. One singer will be eliminated each week, revealing his or her true identity.
Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke will serve as panelists on the show.

Buzzr just got a whole lot more goofy and awkward. The YouTube channel, owned by FremantleMedia North America and run by Fremantle’s digital studio Tiny Riot, just launched its newest game show web series called Beat the Clock, hosted by Mashable’s Elliott Morgan.
In the premiere episode of Beat the Clock, Morgan sets up two teams of two YouTube stars each with humiliating but comical challenges they must complete before the timer runs out. Team Wisecrack, consisting of that titular channel’s Greg Edwards and Mark Schroeder, competes against team Trisha Hershberger, consisting of Hershberger and YouTube cover artist Bianca Gisselle. To start things off, Edwards and Hershberger have to try knocking over bowling pins with a dangling pantyhose filled with two tennis balls attached to their waists (yes, this looks about like what you’d expect it to).

UK omnibus 50 Kisses is entering the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest roster of co-writers on a feature film. The 51 scribes will gather today at BAFTA headquarters in London for a special screening of the film that beat the previous record holder, 1943’s Forever And A Day. That film had 21 writers including an uncredited Alfred Hitchcock. The British 50 Kisses was produced by the London Screenwriters’ Festival. Two years ago, it invited writers to submit two-page scripts featuring at least one kiss and set on Valentine’s Day. The 50 best scripts were released online with an open invitation for filmmakers to produce them. Ultimately, 127 shorts were made and those were edited down to produce 50 Kisses. The finished product was released on February 13 this year, earning a per-screen average of nearly £9,500. The end credits run for 17 minutes. Zap2it: On Tuesday, June 25, you make your official debut as the new host of "Minute to Win It," now on Gsn, shooting today on a soundstage north of Los Angeles. What made you want to make the switch from athlete to game show host?
Apolo Anton Ohno: I had watched the show before on NBC. I had seen Guy Fieri host it. Guy was good, and the show was strangely addictive to watch. The games are so simple and fun. We like watching people make money. But it's not easy. We're here almost 12 hours a day, and we do two to three shows a day. So it's pretty intense.
Zap2it: But isn't training for, and competing in, speed skating in the Olympics intense?
Apolo Anton Ohno: Yeah, but I'm not used to standing on my feet the whole time and smiling. I don't have super high energy.

Premiering tomorrow, June 25th, on Gsn, Minute To Win It is back, and this time you’ll be following along with Apolo Anton Ohno.
I have to admit that I wasn’t always this show’s biggest fan, but I did like it, and I thought it disappeared a little too quick. Apparently Gsn agrees, because it’s back and it looks like it might just be better than ever.
There are new events, a somewhat new format, and having a new home dedicated to game shows probably isn’t going to hurt either.
There’s a quick sizzle reel below, and I’ve got an exclusive clip of the action for you as well.
Check it out, and mark your calendars.
Also, don’t forget that you can head over to the show’s website - http://gsntv.com/shows/minute-to-win-it/ and find more info, and blueprint videos for all of the challenges.

NBC has found a star for its Ironside remake, adding Blair Underwood to the cast. I have to admit that makes me a lot more interested in Ironside.
MTV has ordered a semi-scripted comedy pilot about a Kardashian-style family, according to Deadline. I have a feeling this purchase was heavily influenced by the success of another partially-improvised reality TV parody, The Real Husbands of Hollywood.
In what sounds like a nightmarish combination, CBS has ordered a pilot starring Robin Williams created by David E. Kelley. Crazy Ones would follow a father/daughter advertising team. It's got crazy in the title, so you know this will feature Williams and Kelley at their least restrained.
Unsurprisingly, Thailand's culture minister is upset with Saturday Night Live for a fake ad making fun of the country's sex tourism.
