Indiana Jones & The Great Circle has already been praised for its impressive adaptation of the iconic film franchise, but there are some ways The Great Circle is even better than the source material. During each location along The Great Circle's route players must constantly be aware of their surroundings if they hope to survive, especially on higher difficulties. Whether sneaking around heavily fortified camps or scavenging enough resources and weapons to get by, there's always one trusty tool waiting to be used.
The Combat isn't the only area that saw innovative changes made to the world of archeological adventuring, as The Great Circle managed to easily solve the dreaded yellow paint dilemma. Excelling at balancing the line between accessibility and challenging gameplay, The Great Circle aims to put players in the shoes of the legendary archeologist in every way possible, aided greatly by its first-person perspective. In a few more months, it would mark exactly a decade since FromSoftware’s Bloodborne was released for the first time back in 2015, with fans looking up to Sony and Hidetaka Miyazaki in hopes for a sequel ever since.

Although Elden Ring was 2022's Goty and one of the biggest releases of the 2020s, FromSoftware has confirmed that there are currently no plans to make a direct sequel, despite many other projects currently being worked on. This is after a lengthy battle to secure the sole rights to the IP from their publisher, Bandai Namco, who previously co-owned the rights, which concluded shortly before the release of Shadow of the Erdtree. That doesn't mean that FromSoftware isn't doing anything with the IP; however, announcing the spin-off Elden Ring Nightreign at the 2024 Game Awards.
It may come as a surprise to some that FromSoftware hasn't immediately begun work on a direct Elden Ring sequel, given how explosively successful the first game and its expansion were. Back in 2011, FromSoftware was quick to jump on the success of Dark Souls, developing a trilogy in five years, so it would make sense for...

Hidetaka Miyazaki is one notorious man when it comes to creating a game where the level and boss design are crafted splendidly to punish the player for as long as possible. And while that might be evident enough in his more mainstream games such as Dark Souls and Elden Ring, the challenge, in reality, lies in his 2019 title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
The studio took their games a step further with the release of Sekiro in 2019 | FromSoftware
Many players consider it a shame that Sekiro was left to be a standalone title in what was an unexpected franchise to come out of FromSoftware. While it shared the core values of any other IPs made by the studio, the execution is something many would kill to see once again.

It’s as Clear as Day: Elden Ring Nightreign Is Trying to Do Where One Ubisoft Game Toiled and Failed
Bringing two or more franchises together can be a big hit or a miss for the players, and it seems FromSoftware is willing to take that gamble with their upcoming title, Elden Ring Nightreign. However, knowing how it all went down with Ubisoft and their failed ‘Cod Killer,’ XDefiant, is it what Hidetaka Miyazaki should really be going after?

For anyone who’s been a part of FromSoftware’s community long enough, Elden Ring feels like the absolute peak of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s genius, with nothing but love for its unfathomable world design to its combat encounters.

Few moments in gaming hit as deeply as the ones in Dark Souls 1. Building on the foundations set by Demon’s Souls, the game did more than refine the Soulsborne combat or tighten the world design; it crafted a hauntingly emotional narrative without so much as uttering a single word.

For a solo developer, Daniel Ferrer has set himself quite the challenge with his latest project.
On the surface, Among Ashes may not look like much, boasting — as it does — lo-fi visuals and rudimentary mechanics. But should you afford it more than a passing glance, hidden depths upon hidden depths will gradually reveal themselves. Considering how much is going on under the hood here, and the fact that just one man is responsible for it all, it’s a very ambitious undertaking that deserves to be commended.
What’s so remarkable is that the self-reliant Ferrer (aka Rat Cliff Games) has effectively produced three experiences for the price of one. There’s the main game itself, the game within that game that your housebound avatar is playing at the start, and then yet another game that they later switch to after getting bored. There are definitely varying degrees of quality to them,...

I've played my fair share of JRPGs, including stone-cold classics like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 7, but the one that stands out above the rest for me isn't a title that's achieved quite the same level of household recognition. Released on the Nintendo GameCube in 2003, Tales of Symphonia has had no shortage of acclaim, typically ranking near the top of the long-running and eternally popular Tales series. It's not as likely to be found in the same spot on lists of the best JRPGs as a whole, however, and it's a game that's easy enough to overlook.
The biggest hurdle for Tales of Symphonia, as I see it, comes from the fact that it's not a watershed release in the history of the genre. There's no great leap forward in technology, tone, or general ambition that makes the game vastly different from its predecessors, and a lot of its...

Sony’s approach to some games has been poorly received, especially regarding Bloodborne. With the FromSoftware title now being playable on PC through emulation, the lack of a remastered version has become a sore point for fans. Like in previous FromSoftware RPGs such as Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, magic in the world of Elden Ring can be divided into two rough categories - academic Sorceries powered by the spellcaster's Intelligence and deity-invoking Incantations powered by the spellcaster's faith. Players who want to be able to cast both Sorceries and Incantations will need to heavily upgrade their character's Intelligence and Faith attributes at the expense of the Strength and Dexterity attributes that empower attacks from most melees or ranged weapons.
Four attributes can influence the damage a character does in FromSoftware's open-world RPG. For melee there are Strength and Dexterity. The Intelligence attribute is generally used to boost the power of Glintstone Sorceries, a magical art capable of manifesting crystals, meteorites, ice, solid light, gravity, and other cosmic phenomena. Finally, the Faith attribute, in most cases, influences the strength of Incantations, the magic of healing miracles and...

Fans propose a pirate-themed Soulslike game for FromSoftware. The studio could explore Lovecraftian horror in a sea-based setting. Elden Ring's success raises expectations for FromSoftware's next project.
Now that Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is finally out in players' hands, FromSoftware fans are already beginning to speculate on what could be next for the acclaimed development team. While FromSoftware is largely known for creating the Soulslike genre with the massively influential Dark Souls series, the studio's lineage can be traced all the way back to 1994 when it released its first game on the PlayStation One. The developer has mastered many genres and tropes, leading to avid fans calling for something fresh but still connected to the team's penchant for dark fantasy worlds.
Over on Reddit, a pitch by Empty_Air_5548 is gaining traction as the user suggests that FromSoftware take a stab at a game based on the history and mythology of pirates.

After Elden Ring was first announced, its gameplay was still mysterious, and a common joke labeled it "big Dark Souls." Elden Ring's base game, however, differs quite a lot from Dark Souls in how its game world is constructed. Shadow of the Erdtree hews much closer to the idea of big Dark Souls, giving players a world more intricately constructed.
Even after Elden Ring was first revealed at E3 2019, virtually nothing concrete was known about it from a gameplay standpoint. The announcement trailer introduced a handful of key characters, but its famous line, "I doubt you could even imagine it," was hilariously apt. From a handful of interviews director Hidetaka Miyazaki did at the time, a common joke arose which painted Elden Ring as "big Dark Souls." While the idea was surely perpetuated with some facetiousness, big Dark Souls wasn't an inaccurate description of what was known about the...

The legacy that FromSoftware has managed to build itself over the years was with the help of amazing RPG titles that have never disappointed fans. However, the black sheep of this series of games remains Bloodborne, a title that was released exclusively for PlayStation and remains locked there to date.
Furthermore, being one of the most unique releases the studio has ever done, the game has also built a separate following of its own. David Jaffe, the director of the initial God of War games on the other hand believes that the game might be a victim of exaggeration instead.

Now that players have had a fair bit of time exploring Shadow of the Erdtree, the general verdict is finally out. Elden Ring‘s one and only expansion is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most remarkable and challenging gaming experiences FromSoftware has ever produced.
From a lore standpoint, though, there are still many questions that need to be answered, especially about Miquella. Recently, one of the more prominent points of discussion involves the relationship of the controlling Empyrean with our Spectral Steed, Torrent.

FromSoftware’s crown as the hardest game producer might soon be getting contested as players have finally begun to speak about the absurd difficulty established in Shift up’s Stellar Blade after a player reaches a certain milestone.
Starting a new game file after you have completed the title for the first time, also called Ng+, often makes all the enemies a bit harder than before to cope with the already advanced player. However, things start to get a bit out of hand if the player decides to opt for the hard mode while choosing the Ng difficulty in the PlayStation-exclusive title.

The gaming community is once again debating the difficulty and mechanics of FromSoftware’s popular titles. This time, it’s Elden Ring and its expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, versus the classic Dark Souls 1.

The popular fantasy action RPG video game “Elden Ring” could be headed for a film or television adaptation, George R.R. Martin wrote on his blog Saturday. Martin, the “Game of Thrones” author who’s also behind the acclaimed game’s worldbuilding, explained, “Oh, and about those rumors you may have heard about a feature film or television series based on Elden Ring… I have nothing to say. Not a word, nope, not a thing, I know nothing, you never heard a peep from me, mum mum mum. What rumor?”
A film or TV adaptation would be a first for the game’s developer, FromSoftware, notorious for its incredibly difficult games — most notably the “Dark Souls” games and the subgenre they created. Though Martin didn’t exactly confirm any such adaptation is in the works, the tone of his comment — and the fact that he’s acknowledging the rumors at all — is decidedly coy.

Deviating from FromSoftware’s tradition of making dark fantasy Arpg video games, the Armored Core franchise happens to stick out from the bunch as it remains one of the few titles that does not feature impossible-to-clear difficulty levels, and at the same time contains a unique feature that is yet to be seen in other titles made by Hidetaka Miyazaki.

In video game development, innovation takes time, and inspiration often comes from various sources. Sometimes, it takes developers years of hard work and dedication for a particular feature to find its way into a beloved franchise.
Such was the case with Todd Howard’s Skyrim, where a feature similar to what is found in FromSoftware’s titles took over a decade to finally be added. It was a massive undertaking for the creator to integrate this element as the available assets were limited. It tested the patience and dedication of the developers.

Darksouls and Bloodborne have collectively sold millions of copies ever since their initial release, which marked the beginning of establishing FromSoftware as one of the best studios in the market.
Hidetaka Miyazaki was able to create a huge impact on the gaming industry with his uniquely designed games, Darksouls, for portraying the dark fantasy genre with brutal gameplay, and Bloodborne, for its gothic and horror elements borrowed from gothic horror authors like H.P. PC Gamer asked FromSoftware president about Bloodborne PC release. He'd "love more players to enjoy it." Sony has to make the decision about a Bloodborne PC release. Fan demand is high, but FromSoft doesn't own IP. Bloodborne's gothic world is largely praised and showed off the PS4's capabilities at launch.
FromSoftware's Bloodborne launched in 2015 and was highly praised for showcasing what the then-new PlayStation 4 was capable of during players' exploration of a blood-drenched gothic world. Surprisingly, it has remained one of the few major PlayStation exclusives of that generation not to be ported elsewhere, despite fan demand for a "new-gen" patch for the current PS5 console and a PC release.

Hidetaka Miyazaki is a name that is beloved by many fans of Soulslike games, including original titles like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The success of Elden Ring has brought the creator’s team (FromSoftware) to a much-loved place of fame.
An upcoming action-adventure title, Phantom Blade Zero looks to be something inspired by the worlds created by FromSoftware, yet manages to pull off a gameplay style that mixed close-combat encounters and exploration. Moreover, one of its developers has previously worked on games from the much-revered studio.

In the past, the Souls games set the benchmark for challenging games that thrive on the concept of exploration and lore-driven, enigmatic gameplay. These themes have often found themselves at the core of Soulslike games, but no stay unique even years after their release.

Armored Core 6, the latest installment in the iconic mech series by FromSoftware, marks a significant departure from the studio’s recent Soulsborne titles like Bloodborne and Dark Souls. The game’s development benefited from FromSoftware’s increased resources and experience, especially compared to when Miyazaki directed Armored Core 4.
The game’s director, Masaru Yamamura, who previously worked on Sekiro, aimed to capture the essence of intense mecha battles with dynamic and aggressive enemy encounters, akin to FromSoftware’s signature boss battles.

The Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc for Elden Ring will feature 10 new bosses, some optional, adding depth to the game's narrative. The expansion offers more than just boss battles, including a new area, Shadow Realm Blessing system, and additional game mechanic. Scheduled for June 21 release, the Dlc is expected to conclude Elden Ring's narrative while introducing challenging new boss encounters.
As Elden Ring's Dlc draws near, developer FromSoftware has finally revealed how many bosses players can expect to fell in Shadow of the Erdtree and while it may not sounds like a lot, it should more than enough. Given FromSoftware's history of saving some of the best boss encounters for their games' expansions, such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, players are gearing up for what will hopefully be some of the best fights yet in Elden Ring. While the quality will likely be up to the studio's usual high quality,...
