Recently caught this at the Rendez-Vous Cinema premiere and thoroughly enjoyed it! A sometimes funny yet slightly sombre look into a middle-class Montreal family, this is a great debut for a young and upcoming writer-director. The lead performance is a strong one and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him. The movie does a good job at highlighting the difficulties of growing up and the challenges that arise when coming back home from an extended period away. The movie was shot on a really small budget but looked surprisingly good. These young filmmakers did a great job in creating a good-looking movie on a low budget.
Definitely curious to see what he makes and I give this a worthy recommendation!
