Filmed during the first Covid-19 hard lockdown in South Africa. The set had to be sanitized after every take, resulting in thousands of litres of sanitiser being used during filming.
Most of the drag characters are named after famous South African brands, e.g. Mrs. Balls (chutney), Kiwi Polish (shoe polish), Jay-C Le Roux (named after JC Le Roux sparkling wine), etc.
