Exclusive: Screen Media has acquired North American rights to the horror film The Accursed, from director Kevin Lewis (Willy’s Wonderland), which stars Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Sarah Grey (Power Rangers), Meg Foster (They Live) and Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect). The Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company has slated the title, which is currently in post-production, for a theatrical day-and-date release this fall.
The Accursed follows a young woman who is forced to return home following the death of her mother. Consumed by guilt and desperate to escape the haunting visions playing out in her head, she takes a temporary caregiver position for a comatose, old lady living alone in the woods. It does not take long before she realizes that not all is as it seems, and that the old lady harbors a demonic secret; an evil secret that the old lady’s daughter is intent on passing on.

Warner Records will issue the soundtrack for actress Halle Berry’s directorial debut film “Bruised” on Nov. 19. The Netflix feature — which Berry also stars in as a disgraced M.M.A. fighter — debuts on the streamer on Nov. 24, after a limited one-week run in theaters.
“I can’t wait to show it,” Berry tells Variety. “I have to tell you, one of the things I’m most excited about is the title song that H.E.R. sang… and she killed it. So I can’t wait to share with everyone and am super excited.”
Hand-selected by executive producers Berry and Cardi B, the film’s soundtrack features six original songs by award-winning and multi-platinum female artists, including Cardi B (“Bet It”), Saweetie (“Attitude”), City Girls (“Scared”), H.E.R. (“Automatic Woman”), Flo Milli (“Blast Off”) and Latto (“Tha Fuck”). The tracks by H.E.R. and City Girls, both prominently featured...

This article contains Cobra Kai season 3 spoilers.
Despite its iconic standing within the martial arts genre, the martial arts in The Karate Kid have never been outstanding. Sure, the crane kick is a classic, but from a technical standpoint, it’s not that impressive. Ralph Macchio had no martial arts training prior to undertaking the role of Daniel. In many ways, that’s part of the charm. Whether you know martial arts or not, Daniel’s wax on, wax off awkwardness makes Macchio’s portrayal more genuine.
Throughout the film franchise, it was Daniel’s adversaries who were the martial artists. William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence) had a background in wrestling prior to the first film and continued to train in Tang Soo Do under Master Pat E. Johnson after it wrapped (Johnson played the referee and trained the actors for the film.) Martin Kove (John Kreese) studied Gosoku-ryu Karate under the founder of that style,...

WWF No Mercy‘s generally accepted status as the greatest wrestling game ever made has always been a pleasant curiosity in a world that’s often defined by our divisiveness and desire to argue for the sake of arguing.
WWF No Mercy is so beloved that it’s often hard to get someone to analytically break it down without eventually succumbing to wistful ramblings. Yet, the qualities that made the game so special really aren’t that complicated. In fact, much of the game’s success can be attributed to how uncomplicated it was.
Essentially an evolution of developer Aki Corporation’s previous N64 wrestling games (which notably included WCW/nWo Revenge and WWF WrestleMania 2000), No Mercy‘s calling card was its arcade-like gameplay that emphasized a rock/paper/scissors style system of stong/weak grapples, strikes, and counters. It was remarkably uncomplicated to pick up and play, but deep enough to master.

When Johnny Lawrence's (William Zabka) old cruel sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) showed up at the end of Cobra Kai Season 1, I about lost my shit! That was such an awesome, unexpected surprise because I thought he was dead! After he showed up and the final episode of the season ended, I immediately began to think of all of the bad and evil things that he will bring into Johnny's life in Season 2. After all, he was the one who drilled "No Mercy" into his students, but it sounds like that may not be the direction they are going to take the character.
During a recent interview with Syfy Wire, Kove talked about his excitement to get to play the character again and he shared some info on how the character will be handled next season. According to the actor, we will see a more human and vulnerable side of Kreese:

When the police discover a dismembered body near a river, they ask from coroner Kang, one of the leaders in the field to assist them in ascertaining the cause of death. Coincidently, Min, a former student of Kang’s, is also part of the police team investigating the crime. Every piece of evidence they discover points toward the extremist environmentalist Lee and the case seems to close when he is arrested. However, things become complicated when Kang’s daughter is kidnapped.

There’s a new Korean chiller headed our way called No Mercy. Written and directed by first-timer Kim Hyeong-Joon and starring Hye-jin Han, Seung-beom Ryu, Kyung-gu Sol and Ji-ru Sung the film goes like this.
Synopsis:
Hidden in the bushes along the river bank, a woman’s body is found severed into six parts. Homicide forensics expert Kang is called into investigation, eventually arresting environmentalist fanatic Lee as the main suspect.
Meanwhile, Kang heads to the airport to pick up his daughter who hasn’t been back in Korea for 10 years. A stranger, supposedly ordered by Lee, gives Kang an envelope filled with pictures of his petrified daughter held captive. Kang goes to meet Lee believing the river bank murder case is involved with his daughter’s kidnapping. In order to save his daughter, Lee tells Kang to release him within 3 days, pushing Kang into an impossible fork in the road.
