Game designer, Hideo Kojima posted to his Twitter he became a fan of the series having come across it accidentally while intending to find the movie Licorice Pizza (2021). Kojima later was asked and accepted a request to write a personal endorsement for the light novel spin off, Lycoris Recoil: Ordinary Days.
