Vincent Denley's 'mansion' in the film is actually the former home of Virginia Governor Thomas B. Stanley. The estate is now used as a wedding and event venue.
Writer/Director Joanna Adams also wrote and performed the song, "That's the Kind of Thing" featured in the party scene. A different version of the song played in the credits features the voices of Adams and her composer, Abigail Western.
