i have seen the movie at Jagran Film Festival in Delhi, i really liked the movie its a good attempt and i recommend this film to everyone.
The music of the movie was very good to ear and it comes at right places in the movie and helps the flow.
All the actors were new but still they have done a very good Job.
The best part of the film is its story, it seems that we all wanted to do something our own where we feel the freedom and the happiness we are looking for.
After some search on internet i have found that film has been to other festivals all across the globe which shows how good the film is and its a must watch.

Shuttlecock Boys proves that you do not need established 'stars' and a mammoth budget to make good films
.it takes a beautiful storyline and some good performances to touch the hearts of audience
I saw the movie at Film Bhawan as a part of Jaipur Film Festival and it was a wonderful experience. Appreciation for the movie was obvious by the loud applause in the fully occupied auditorium for so many scenes.
Even though the film shows 4 protagonists on screen but I strongly felt the presence of a 5th protagonist too – the director of the film, behind the camera – Mr. Hemant Gaba - who not only chased his dream but also achieved it in an exemplary way ..Shuttlecock Boys is truly heart warming thank you Pennywise Films for giving us such a beautiful movie and best wishes for all your future projects

I saw Hemant's Shuttlecock boys in New Delhi as part of Jagran Film Festival. It was an inspirational story. I do not understand much technicality of movie but liked all characters of movie and specially their simplicity. I could relate to it because I understand how it feels when you know you are just an ordinary being and want to achieve something extraordinary. You go through feeling of helplessness and hopelessness but life is a never-ending struggle to 'grow'. And, that was 'Shuttlecock Boys'. Story of heartbreak, struggle to survive and change impossible to possible.
I would like to quote a leader- "Material wealth does not necessarily make for happiness. Nor does fame. Hope is life's greatest treasure. A life without hope is bleak and gray. If you have no hope, create some."
Thumbs up Hemant :) May more success come your way. All the best!

I saw Shuttlecock Boys on Friday October 14th 2011 at Quad Cinema in New York as part of the Gotham Screen International Film Festival.
I had an instant attraction to each of the lead characters, learning their story and becoming one with them as the film progressed. Their happiness was heartwarming and hardships heart wrenching. So much so, that I was kind've waiting them to be real and pop out of nowhere at the end of the film. That's how genuine a film like Shuttlecock Boys is. It wasn't larger than life or superficial or hard to believe and follow in any way. It was so sincere, it moved me and even had the power to make me question my own actions.
One can really relate to the film as it takes you on a journey into the lives of the lower middle class in India and you become engrossed in their real life situations and dilemmas. This is important because you can go through your whole life watching thousands of films but I think you only really remember ones that you can relate to and that impact your life and stay with you, long after the hour and a half odd duration of the film comes and goes.
The soundtrack to film is amazing too. Its captivating and exhilarating and adds so much spark to the film. I loved the song, and i was still singing it in my head days after seeing the film.
All of the actors and the production team did a really great job and you could see it come through in the film.

I got the chance to see Shuttlecock boys in Jagran Film Festival,New Delhi and it is one of the best movie i have ever seen as it is a very inspirational movie .The film is high on the emotional quotient and it has some really hilarious moments . Many scenes stays with you long after you have left the theater. The movie tells the story of thousands of youths and inspire them not to lose hope in their life and even teach them to give their best to achieve success . The work of Hemant and all the actors, cast, crew and Camera were amazing and its really a worth watching movie as one can completely relate with the characters and enjoy this movie and go home with lot of inspiration and sweet memories of the movie .The best thing about this movie is that it has shown our efforts of day to day struggle in life and fulfilling dreams.

"I don't know whether we are going to succeed. We might fail. But at- least we would have tried " . This dialog expressed with subtle emotions and a great sense of maturity by one of the actors speaks volumes. And it's just not simply a line from a film uttered by one of the actors . There are various dimensions to it.
How many of us take that one chance ? To leave everything aside,to set out on a journey just for the love of what we want to do,without knowing where we might end up.We face challenges, things do not always work out.Sometimes we are on the verge of contemplating whether we had taken the right call. But we still go on,guided by sheer passion, devotion, love and dedication.
"Badha Chal !!Chala Chal".This is what the film portrays.A little googling up will get you articles about the film which reveals that the director himself faced similar challenges.Stuck up with a monotonous 9-6 IT job, with the love for cinema, with a burning passion to make films, not being able to find a producer and then finally leaving aside materialistic dreams and pleasures and pooling a huge sum of personal savings behind the film is what this valiant young director did.The story does not end here. The film footage caught a lab fire and quite a bit was destroyed. Finally with the grace of God this was digitally restored.
Today just like the characters in the film with no business cards,no infrastructural setups or past experiences, here is a film from the debutant director. In an industry dominated by commercialism here is a gem of an independent feature film screening across theatres just next to a Bourne Legacy,A rising Dark Knight and some Gangs from Wasseypur.
This is a remarkable feat! All this shows in the film and it deeply moves you. Why? Because it's straight from the heart. With not an extra moment wasted on making subplots or concocted character sketching ,over-dramatization,this film moves at a pace keeping you engrossed all the while, identifying yourselves with the characters, befriending them and becoming a part of their world, emotions and struggle. The simplicity of this film is what stands out and gives it a distinct USP.
A fantastic film from Hemant Kumar Gaba and team ,this surely sends far reaching ripples in the new wave that has struck Indian Cinema.

Got to see Shuttlecock Boys in Siri Fort auditorium, New Delhi, on 25th Sep 2011(part of Jagran Film festival) and thoroughly enjoyed the movie...The realistic portrayal of Indian middle class families and aspirations of youth is indeed praiseworthy
it is natural to empathize with the characters and understand their emotions as many of us go through similar ups and downs in every day life. The four friends have their individual personalities, distinct from each other and yet their bond of friendship is so strong. It's commendable that despite most of them being first timers, the actors have performed so well...photography and direction are truly impressive. We do need more movies like Shuttlecock Boys instead of over hyped superhero sagas

A youth based story line and new talent is perfect combination that works very well for Shuttlecock Boys. Loved watching this film and happy to learn that there are independent film-makers coming up with refreshing stories and new talent. Regular bollywood formula films are quiet boring these days. In present where everyone is a part of rat-race of earning money and positions, only few people can dare to follow their heart and chase their dreams and this film depicts that. Friendship, courage and determination all are justified well in this film. It was a treat to watch Shuttlecock Boys. Well done and a thumbs up for the team.
Are you kidding me the movie is such a crap and a time waste , the producer and directer are retards or too courageous . Watch at your own risk, why is every one lying about the movie, regreting 2 hours in which i saw the movie. movie name is wrong it should shuttle cock boring this is the real comment guys not the fake one. worse acting worse picturisation. same and common scrip and believe it or not i was wondering did they even launched it or no one heard of if. A guy with a handy cam can make a better movie.don't know how to even rate the movie, the shuttlecock boys worse movie in the decade if you count this as a movie. Shuttle cocks who suggested name naughty boy

Hemant Gaba's "Shuttlecock Boys" is worth watching. It's a reel life example of the real life of each individual, the problems faced by them to choose their career efficiently. I went on to to watch the movie at Jaipur International Film Festival 2011,Jaipur skipping my college along with my friends and it was fun watching the movie which actually relates to our life giving us an inspiration for fulfilling our dreams. The story is about the four boys completely different from one another. They wanted to do something on their own and after the complete struggle chasing their dreams and not following the path what life offered them, they succeeding with their catering business.
Very fresh, inspiring and honest, was immediate reaction when i watched SHUTTLECOCK BOYS during Jaipur Film Festival.
It certainly takes you back to your younger days when you played badminton with your friends in the backyards. Most of us in India grow up discussing their dreams during daily dose of backyards sports. Unfortunately most of us fall in to the rut of making money and continue to do so for rest of our lives unlike the characters in the movie chose to do with their lives.
Characterization, music and very real life like location helped me make a greater connect with the movie.
Shuttlecock Boys did manage to make me carry a piece to thought back home. Congratulation and best of luck to the team PENNY WISE.
