I remember the first time I was playing this game, having literally no clue how to do any of the controls or what to do. But despite not knowing anything, the game seemed interesting. I played for a bit longer, and eventually stayed up way too late and had to stop. Played it the next day and remember boarding myself up in the Rosewood school. I later died after not knowing I had gotten infected by a scratch. It was whatever though, I started another character with a more clearer way in mind to survive better.
As I played the game more and more I learned how to do more things, and starting appreciating how in depth this game is. You can do hundreds of things you would not expect to be able to do. Thats one of the things I love so much about this game, its extremely detailed, and tries to be as realistic as it can.
This game has one goal in mind, and thats to make it so you die eventually. There are a billion different ways you can die in this game and a lot of them are pretty embarrasing. I remember I lost a 4 month character by accidently afking and dying of starvation. I remember one time I was getting way to confident and was killed by a horde of zombies I could have easily taken down if I had just been more patient.
Another thing I absolutely love about this game is the music. The soundtrack is amazing. From the very first time you start a save to the end, there is a chance music is playing, and it really adds to your experience. Whether or not the music is even fitting to your game, it does add a lot.
I also love that this game has such a massive map. There is so much for you to explore. Even in my longest save, I never even travelled to every single large location on the map. And the thing I love most, is that the map gets even bigger every few updates.
That also makes me want to comment on the development team, I remember first playing and not really checking a lot about the devs, but I was happy to see they were actively adding things to the game and posting blogs with progress on updates. I am very excited for the future of the game and what will come.
Anyways, this game is a masterpiece in my opinion. It always is fun to play, and you can play as you want and do anything as you want.
