There was a scene filmed with Courtney telling Derek she was coming with him because she was afraid of losing him to his "BFF with benefits, Skye". This scene was to take place right before the montage of Brigg, Derek, and Courtney headed to Mill Basin while everyone prepared for the party.

In an early draft of the script, there was going to be a character who worked at the coffee shop who had a crush on Zoe and after helping her out finding out who Skye really is, Charlie was set to kill him by shoving his face in a cappuccino machine ultimately melting his face. This was cut because Scott and Jed felt that there were too many characters and it wouldn't make sense for Charlie to be at the coffee shop.
