Alright, well I just sat through this movie, despite it was a movie that was amazingly sassy.
Let's start off with the title, "Christmas Cupid"? I think the movie was somewhat given a wrong title, sure there was a love theme to the story, but there was no Cupid around. And I sure hope they hadn't intended the dead movie star to be Cupid, if so, that would just be morbidly sick.
The story told in "Christmas Cupid" is fairly easy to follow and straight forward, being a whole re-invention of the classic "Christmas Carol" story. Just spiced up to appeal to the modern and hip audience of the 21st century. In itself it was actually not a bad interpretation of the classic story, and it did kind of grow on you, despite there were times where you just wanted the movie to end.
As for the acting in the movie, well I think the people did a good enough job. And they had some fairly decent names on the list, like Chad Michael Murray, Ashley Benson, Christina Milian, and more.
I think there is something to the movie that appeals to everyone, but as a whole picture, I think the movie is perhaps more suited for a female audience, than it is for a male audience.
The movie was adequate, but I hardly think it will turn out to be a Christmas classic movie, that you will get to experience year after year.

Yet another Christmas Carol remake, this time with Christina Milan playing a money hungry pathetic Public relations exec. Of course its predictable, its Dickens's classic, but the acting is B- or C+ grade. The one positive is Ashley Benson who plays the modern Jacob Marley, she pretty much steals every scene, not that says much,

OK guys, let's face it. It's December, snow is falling and although we're stressed out, we want to relax and get into a Christmas mood. So we lean back and switch on "Christmas Cupid" in hope for a bit silly, but watchable movie.
I'm sorry I have to stop you right here. This movie is bad from the beginning to the end. The acting is dreadful, not in one million years do I buy the businesswoman on "the fast track". The storyline is somewhat incoherent, yet unforgivably predictable. Yes, we have all watched romantic comedies with a predictable ending, but this one has got to be one of the worst. Even calling it a "comedy" does it too much honour. The take on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" was nicely thought, but horribly executed. Not to mention, that there was no cupid in the movie whatsoever.
This is not a movie I'd recommend for you to watch during Christmas time (or anytime, actually). Better go with some old classics, that'll really get you ready for the holidays!

No spoilers here unless you're unfamiliar with A Christmas Carol, as this thing, um TV movie, is an attempted retelling. What we have here are actors who are either unskilled or wholly uninspired(and if so, no one can blame them). They mostly sleepwalk through a soul-less, shallow, Christmas Carol in which Scrooge learns to become slightly less selfish, morally bankrupt, and generally horrible to the mostly equally horrible people in her life. Instead of feeding the poor and starving, our Scrooge here redeems herself by feeding celebrities via gift certificates to a restaurant . Really. The best part of the movie is when Jacob Marley/Cupid makes her grand final exit. I was laughing, though the scene was intended to be grand and touching.
Redeeming qualities? Well, hmm. OK, the cast are pretty much all eye candy. The lighting and camera work were fine for a TV movie. And I give it points for making me laugh for feeling like the bad boyfriend dodged a bullet while the good guy got stuck with a lifetime of misery.
All in all, no Christmas spirit to be found here, and not much of a cupid. I think they called it Christmas Cupid because Christmas Stupid was too honest.
It won't win any awards, but it just might win... your heart! (Ha ha, I made you read that.)
But seriously... I didn't think this would be a good choice for me, but I gave it a go.
For the first 10-15 minutes I was thinking this was the worst movie I'd seen in a while. Everybody was so irritating!! Then the ghost showed up and it got nutty. From that point on, despite the predictable plot, the details of how we got there were (mostly) fun to watch and I got some good startled chuckles out of moments of disbelief.
It really is rather thin and even offensive if you take it seriously, but if you can loosen up it's enjoyably tacky -- not a phrase I ever thought I'd need! I could have gone with a 6 or a 7, but I was generous because I really did have a surprising amount of fun watching this silliness. I think everybody involved knew they were making a cheesy movie, and that's why it works on its level. It knows what it's trying to do and it doesn't try to squirm away from that. If that's not your cup of tea, well, there are lots of other Christmas movies for you.
Oh, and yes, the dead hottie was the cupid. Duh. I guess that in itself is the litmus test for a lot of viewers: if you're offended by it, this is so not your movie. If you're still with me, give it a watch. I'm lost as to why that would bother anybody, but maybe I'm unusually cynical or something.

Badly over acted movie full of unpleasant, unrealistic characters. There are a couple of people here who like it which means I guess it appeals to someone. The movie lacks depth, sincerity and character development. It was painful to watch and how I ever endured it to the end, I will never know. If you're looking for a movie with some intelligence and warmth with a bit of that Christmasy feel to it, you won't find it here. The movie is emotionless and shallow. Don't waste your time if you have a reasonable IQ.

This movie is very entertaining. The music is bad, the acting is decent, and the story is pretty well done. I enjoyed the chemistry between all the characters, but the main character was the worst. It was hard to find something redeeming about her as the story went on. Patrick deserved way better than what he was given. But, like all movies, the ending was perfect for everyone.
Overall, it's a nice Christmas movie with a good lesson.

Wow this movie was terrible. The acting was come of the worst acting I've ever seen. The main character was not even remotely believable, I'm honestly not sure how she received the part. The premise was rather cheesy, the dialog was poor and cliché, the flow of the film was choppy at best and overall execution was lacking. I almost felt like I was watching a high school play that was being televised, but then again, I've seen some high school plays that weren't this poorly acted. While 'made for TV' movies aren't always the most amazing films in the world, this one takes the genre to a whole new low. Don't waste your time. There are plenty of other similar style films that aren't nearly half as bad as this.

Okay wasn't to that bad , is something differently differently but same story as Ghost of my girlfriends past movie with Matthew. McConaughey. But without his womanize way against all women, this twist on it by having a girl point of view exactly same story with Three ghost by which is Katelyn is big time movie star that has gotten into a trouble of being a movie star in a family film coming up into her career by she went out she's ended up into some trouble . By three ghost main lead goes her way and helping getting bumping into her ghost of her boyfriend past and making sure she get happy ending was funny to watch but some of it was wasn't that bad !!
Teens who want a relatable version of A Christmas Carol will flock to Christmas Cupid, starring the popular teen star from Pretty Little Liars, Ashley Benson. Ashley is the Jacob Marley to Christina Milian's Scrooge, and she visits her coworker to impart some life lessons before it's too late. As you can tell from the title, the main focus is love and finding Christina's happiness with another person, rather than just enjoying the Christmas spirit. But this is a teen movie - do you really expect it not to focus on boys, boys, boys?
Parts of it were cute, but it's really just geared to teenage girls. Diehard fans of the Dickens story will probably be appalled. Just as classic lovers should stay away from All American Christmas Carol, they should probably stay away from Christmas Cupid. But if you just like pretty girls in pretty dresses, giggling over which boy to kiss under the mistletoe, check out this festive comedy. You'll see some familiar faces, like Jackée, Burgess Jenkins, and Ashley Johnson.

Where can I start? It was filmed as the "Ex-Mas Movie". And, no kidding they use "Ex-Mas" instead of Christmas all through it. they called it Ex-Mas. It was awkward. And the dancing and gyrating during rocked up Christmas carols about baby Jesus was disconcerting. This probably represents the nadir of the feel-good Christmas genre.

The basic sin - it is a film about nothing. Not "nothing" in Seinfeld manner but just not specific subject or genre or story. A sort of salad , using a selfish, collectionary of men business woman, a sort of spirit more becoming angel, crumbs from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens , a single mother, ex-boyfriends and a lot of improvisation in not very inspired way. The good thing, maybe, the presence of Chad Michael Murray for nostalgics. But it is not enough to save this presumed film about Christmas.

Well guys, I was expecting completely different story line when I read the title of the movie. Was a bit disappointing actually.
The plot lacked the Christmas spirit that I was expecting that the name suggested. It was exactly the opposite, it was the non-jolliest(if there's such a word) movie.
And the "comedy" genre that IMDb suggested was "lacking".There were none in the entire movie. There were no highlight moments in the movie. I would keep the review short just like the movie plot.
******************************************************* My opinion, watch any other movie if you have an option. ********************************************************

The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one was because of Chad Michael Murray; I love him and he has been in some pretty cute, sweet, and good Christmas movies. This movie, however.....horrible. I could not find the strength to finish watching it and I have sat through some pretty lousy movies before. The characters are ridiculous. The lead character, Sloan is a textbook type shallow, trashy, selfish unlikable person. The plot is the typical "modern" Christmas Carol, but this movie makes it seem so passé. The acting was horrible and you can deduce what is going to happen within the first 10 minutes. Anyway, overall, this was a terrible movie, imo. I couldn't even finish it. I feel badly that CMM had to be part of this atrocity because he has been in other decent Christmas movies.

Am I really watching a movie with Christina Milian and Chad Micheal Murray? Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. This movie has it all: hot men and Christmas. Chad Michael Murray smolders as the doctor love interest. I heard he really worked with a real doctor and emergency room for a week to get into character. This film is A Christmas Carol meets Clueless. This movie is charming and predictable. Ashley Benson is the comic relief and boy does she deliver! Christmas Cupid is a Christmas delight wrapped up in a present!

This film essentially begins with a self-centered marketing executive by the name of "Sloane Spencer" (Christina Milian) doing everything she can to advance her personal agenda in order to obtain a promotion in her advertising firm. This even includes sleeping with her boss "Andrew Craig" (Burgess Jenkins) in the hope that he will reciprocate by endorsing her for a vacated vice-president position over her main rival "Jason Miller" (Ryan Sypek). Making this rivalry even more personal is the fact that Sloane had also been sleeping with him prior to her climb up the company ladder. Even so, it soon becomes obvious that, in order for her to win this promotion, she has to make the company look good during an upcoming movie premiere starring her a popular actress named "Caitlin Quinn" (Ashley Benson) who has become the firm's primary client. The problem, however, is that Caitlin seems to have an uncanny knack for attracting extremely bad publicity--as she careens from one outrageous scandal to another. Yet just when it seems things couldn't get worse, Caitlin dies while dancing at a wild party right before the big event. Not only that, but to make matters even worse, Sloane is subsequently visited by the ghost of Caitlin who advises her that three other ghosts will soon arrive with a warning that she needs to change her ways--before it's too late. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this was an okay remake of the Charles Dickens' story "A Christmas Carol" written about 175 years earlier. Yet despite the attempt to refurbish it as a comedy under modern circumstances, it doesn't quite succeed in delivering the same effect. And even though both Ashley Benson and Chad Michael Murray (as Sloane's ex-boyfriend "Patrick Kerns") performed reasonably well, it wasn't enough to compel me to rate this film any higher than I have. Average.

The story lacks originality, the script is a complete fail! It tries to copy the several versions of the movie with Christmas and the Ghosts but all versions are ways better then this movie!!!
It has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas, it is not at all a movie to be shown on Christmas time and it is not a comedy at all!!!
The main characters get very fast on someone's nerves.
I still ask how someone could write such a stupid script and how someone can direct it and produce it and even worse, how can it come on Disney Channel??? It's a complete shame!!!
I am really happy that I managed it not to watch the whole movie and I skipped the end!!!

A top notch client Caitlin dies and return as a ghost to haunt Sloane, Hollywood PR executive to show her what her future will be like if she don't get back in the Christmas spirit. I think this movie provided a good message that life is short and you should enjoy every moment being happy & with family/friends especially during holidays.
