Within the cast and extras, there were five Purple Hearts at last count.
One of the shots of an explosion by a tank the lead actor Struckmann actually was hit by the explosion and had his hair singed, it was a pyrotechnical malfunction that should not have been in the film, but since he "donated" some of his hair and it came out to be a great shot it was put in the finished film.
Part of the executive producers' pay for the film will be donated to the Wounded Warrior foundation and the VA.
The film was a collaborative effort of current and former Military personnel trying to keep as close to the true history as possibly, with collaboration of many WW2 historical societies, the film boasts a huge array of military hardware, tanks, planes weapons etc.
During the filming of the motorcycle escape, several different versions of the scene were filmed. One take that didn't make it into the film was one where lead actress Claudia Crawford (Klaudia) drives the motorcycle. This take didn't make it into the film as Crawford had accidentally crashed the motorcycle into the side of an authentic German van from the Second World War.
