Brandi Mallory, the fan-favorite reality star who appeared on a 2014 episode of ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss, was found dead on November 9, and now a cause of death has been revealed. According to an autopsy report from the Fulton County Medical Examiner (obtained by TMZ), Mallory died of complications due to obesity, which was “considered a significant condition contributing to [her] death.” The report listed Mallory’s death as “natural,” noting the investigation found no sign of foul play. While there were trace amounts of marijuana and alcohol found in her system, neither contributed to her death. The document also cited an enlarged heart and elevated blood indicators suggestive of prediabetes as potential factors. Mallory was found dead on Thursday, November 9, the morning after she was seen purchasing food from a Chipotle restaurant in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Surveillance footage showed the ex-reality star arriving at the lot around 5:53 Pm on November 8 and entering the restaurant.

She didn’t complain or find fault in anyone or anything.” She continued, “She was full of life, always looking for a way to make the atmosphere and...

As our countdown enters its final fortnight, Andrew Pulver goes on the march with Leonardo DiCaprio and Alejandro González Iñárritu for this epic frontier revenge western
• More on the best culture of 2016
With The Revenant, Alejandro González Iñárritu goes Terrence Malick – not that he needed much encouragement – for an extraordinarily handsome study of a human encounter with nature at its rawest: both gruesomely bloody and crystalline in its beauty. Iñárritu and Malick now share the same cinematographer, the multi-Oscar-winning Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki, and no doubt Malick’s influence is being felt in The Revenant’s more rapturous, visionary sequences. But there’s a focus, and narrative ambition, that is thoroughly Iñárritu-esque (if that is a word) and which pitches The Revenant ahead of Malick’s recent experiments in thought-synthesis.

ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss” shed some ratings heft and hit a series low Tuesday night. NBC, meanwhile, rode to another easy summer Tuesday-night victory on the back of “America’s Got Talent.” Down one tenth of a point from last week, “Extreme Weight Loss” drew a 0.6 Nielsen rating among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. Et, according to overnight numbers. The show’s season finale is set for next Tuesday. ABC tied with Telemundo for fourth place among the broadcasters with a 0.6 rating and 2 share. “Knock Knock” “Who’s there?” Very few viewers. Fox’s “Knock Knock Live” — hosted by Ryan Seacrest — debuted to just a 0.5 18-49 demo rating and 1.7 million total viewers on Tuesday. As a result, Fox finished beneath Spanish-language networks Univision and Telemundo in the main demo, tying for fifth with ABC, which aired just one original program. That show was “Extreme Weight Loss,” which fell 25 percent from last week in ratings. Meanwhile, NBC finished first with “America’s Got Talent” and “Hollywood Game Night.” Telemundo won the bronze in the key demo, but didn’t fare as well in overall audience size.

“Hollywood Game Night” was a winner in primetime, premiering up 67 percent in the key 18-49 demo ratings versus last summer’s season debut. This year, the Jane Lynch game show followed “America’s Got Talent” — Tuesday’s top show. Last summer, the “Game Night” aired Thursday nights at 8 p.m. with no primetime lead-in. Meanwhile, ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss” hit a series low. ABC tied for fourth-place in the main demo with Telemundo. Fox fell to sixth place in ratings. Fast National ratings for Tuesday, July 7, 2015. "America's Got Talent" and a decent return for "Hollywood Game Night" helped NBC cruise to Tuesday night victory overall and crush the competition in the key demographic. The night's other notable was very solid Week 2 retention for CBS' "Zoo," which was down only 0.1 in the key demo and a few hundred-thousand viewers overall. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 2.0 rating for Tuesday night, dominating in the key demographic. CBS was a distant second with a 0.9 key demo rating, followed by ABC's 0.6 key demo rating and the 0.5 key demo rating for Fox. The CW averaged a 0.4 key demo rating for the night, a number that looks to be preemption-inflated. Overall, NBC averaged an estimated 8.71 million viewers and a 5.1 rating/9 share for Tuesday primetime. CBS was a solid second with nearly 7 million viewers and a 4.6/8 for the night. ABC's 2.27 million viewers...
