The Jackass series is gross out humour that is funny because it's stupid and people get hurt. These guys have been doing this thing for ten years now. 3 films later, the stuff they do is still funny. Jackass 3.5 is pretty exactly what Jackass 2.5 tried to be. The crew shot so much footage, that it could essentially be another movie. So instead of adding the scenes for special features, they made 2.5 and now 3.5.

If you are a bit apprehensive about this one because of the lackluster 2.5, don't be. Jackass 3.5 is hilarious and maybe even funnier than Jackass 3D. They have a better flow and format down for this addition and it shows. Everything runs smoother, it's not horribly intercut every time with interviews that we don't care about. Every so often it will cut to someone explaining something, but 2.5 was interview overkill. Here they have significantly cut it back and let the stunts do the talking.

3.5 showcases a lot more male nudity then the other entries, I think you see Pontius and his penis 4 times...in super slow motion no less. Using the state of the art Phantom camera, that big productions like Sherlock Holmes used, we get to see male parts move around in slow motion. Hilarious and disturbing at the same time.

This is a recommendation for any fan of the series. The DVD has some nice features as well, you get a look at the initial creation of the show, how half-assed the stunts were and how young everyone is. It's nostalgic.

In short, Jackass 3.5 is funny and a big step up from the disappointing 2.5, which definitely should have been left for deleted scenes. Jackass 3.5 is worth the viewing.

I've been known to really enjoy Jackass because not only is it amusing to watch, but it's like a series of failures or bloopers compiled into a film. After being hit or injured, their only response is laughter. Like that was what they wanted to achieve. Jackass 3D was released in 2010, and like with the previous installment, a Direct-to-DVD "film" was released that included all the unused stunts that were originally cut for the film.

Jackass 3.5 was clearly released without the care and attention put to the previous film. There is no consistency. Usually in Jackass films some of the best stunts are in the middle with the big opening and the grand finale to end it off. This one is at a very slim and slender eighty-four minutes and just packs some of the mildest Jackass has ever offered. A lot of it is funny, but not a lot is very elaborate or clever.

We get Wee-Man painted into a wall, the secretary nearly peeing herself after a train horn being installed in her office goes off, and way too many kicks in the nuts. We get little random five second clips, but the most interesting is when the jackasses are face to face with the camera discussing stunts and how it is to be a jackass. Bam says it's fifty-fifty most of the time. Saying fifty percent of the time it's "fun as hell" with the remaining fifty being "anxiety and paranoia" about what will happen next. They're interesting, but not long enough to deem my satisfaction.

My two favorite stunts were "Bombs Away!" and "The Fire Gauntlet." "Bombs Away!" is when the gang fills two liter bottles of diet coke with peppermint candies and then throws them, full force, at the ground to cause a loud and messy explosion. I'm surprised my buddies and I haven't killed ourselves doing that. "The Fire Guantlet" I refuse to talk about. I want you to have the same jaw dropping reaction I did.

Heavily hyped, but ultimately lacking in cutting edge stunts and gags, Jackass 3.5 shows not much more than the movie. What was cut was made for the best because nothing here should've been in the movie, besides "The Fire Gauntlet." I did like how we saw the castmates hit and beat up on each other frequently. Maybe a spin off series will be called Jerkoff where the aged Jackasses beat up on their friends. That would be an interesting second chapter.

Just finished watching the movie and i was pretty darn impressed.

After the under par Jackass 2.5, I was a bit apprehensive about watching another movie made from failed and unused footage. It seemed more appropriate to be a bonus DVD extra when buying the movie.

But not in this case, 3.5 was hilarious, it has the guys doing what they do best. I was most surprised to see some of the stunts were funnier in this, than any of the stunts that made the final cut of Jackass 3D.

It has a fantastic moment where they "Jeff Dunham," Johhny Knoxville. it has to be seen, and makes for a epic closure to the film.

Nothing more can really be said, you know what to expect from a Jackass Movie, so grab a beer, sit back and get ready to laugh your knickers off!

Johnny Knoxville and the gang return in this extra footage from Jackass 3D. Honestly, this is more fun than most of their movies. It gets into the behind-the-scenes feel of these idiots trying to prank each other. That's the truly fun stuff which is better than their usual homoerotic electrical stunts. It's the surprises and the stupidity. It's trying to ambush somebody while hiding behind a chain-linked fence. The camel-toe lady is a failed stunt but it's the most hilarious bit. Their failure and the reaction of the passersby are the true gems. "I'm not gay. I'm not crazy either." The flaming gauntlet is actually thrilling because I'm rooting for him to make it. The guys prank some of staff including a couple of girls. This is slightly more fun because we've seen it all with the guys electrocuting their nuts.

The 'Jackass' franchise is definitely an 'acquired taste.' I dare say many will find the idea of a group of grown men coming up with new and immature ways to humiliate and hurt each other the last thing they want to watch as it's totally infantile. But then there are those of us - for whatever reason - who actually quite like it. Like me.

I've watched all the 'Jackass' movies and enjoyed - in a crude and low-brow way - all of them. Therefore, I was only too happy to rest my brain to the guys' latest offering. And, having seen it, I can say that, although it's nothing that new and most people who have seen one 'Jackass' movie will know what to expect, it does seem to be a grade below the average.

The stunts just didn't seem that over-the-top and interesting. Yes, there were the odd gross-out one here and there which stuck with me, but - ultimately - this is a film of the leftover stunts that didn't make the other films.

You'll get plenty of 'interviews' added to 'pad out' the run-time, but they hardly offer much insight into anything that you may actually be interested in. It's just the cast saying how much things hurt etc.

If you're a mega fan of the franchise then you'll probably enjoy some of what's on show here. However, it's not a vital addition to the collection and you're probably best off waiting for it to come on an online streaming service and watch it for free rather than paying any extra money to see it.

I watched this to regain that since of nostalgia from my teenage years watching Jackass. These guys are funny and come up with the craziest ideas you can imagine. I would hate to be part of the cast living in fear of being pranked at any moment. I could have done without the nudity but otherwise good movie and very funny.

'JACKASS 3.5': Three Stars (Out of Five)

Like 'JACKASS 2.5' before it, this direct to video (and internet) sequel compiles most of the scenes that didn't make it into the theatrical release 'JACKASS 3D'. All of the gang is back including Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Dave England, 'Wee Man', Preston Lacy, Ehren McGhehey and the late Ryan Dunn. The co-creator of 'JACKASS' (with Knoxville and Spike Jonze) Jeff Tremaine (and director of all the other 'JACKASS' films) returns to direct. The film plays more like a collection of deleted scenes and commentary than an actual movie but it's still a lot of fun if you're a fan of the franchise (and more of the usual).

The movie mostly consists of stunts that didn't go off as planned or were less effective than desired (which is the major reason it's not as good as the theatrical release). It also contains interviews with the cast and crew discussing each stunt/scene and what they liked about it as well as what they thought went wrong. It plays out more like an actual documentary than the theatrical 'JACKASS' films (sort of like an extended extra feature from one of the other DVDs. It's still pretty funny though and like I said a lot of fun.

If you've seen the other movies and TV show you obviously don't need a review to tell you what to expect, like I said it's more of the same. There's plenty of vulgar and crude humor as well as a ton of male nudity (definitely not for the homophobic). I've read some rants discussed with how gay these films are (as well as the cast) but it seems like someone who would complain about that sort of thing has got some issues to figure out themselves. Like all 'JACKASS' films it's all done in good taste. It is somewhat emotional to see Ryan Dunn again on film after what happened to him. There's some great scenes of him and Bam bonding that really capture the humanity of both men (in a more rare way than the other films, it seems to me, maybe it just appears that way now though). The film, like all the others, is a great tribute to Dunn but it would be nice to see a collection of all his greatest stunts and scenes (I'm sure one is coming). Anyway the film is worth checking out just for him. F--- Roger Ebert!

I can honestly say this is better than Jackass 3D. The main commentary I keep hearing about Jackass 3D is that it felt forced. The stunts were too far-fetched and although it was still a cool movie, it just wasn't as funny as the old stuff. I liked the movie and laughed at most bits but I personally got the feeling that it was over, the novelty had worn off and it was the end of Jackass. But Jackass 3.5 is different. The pranks are back, the feeling of comradery is back and they went back to the style of stunts that made them popular many many years ago. The stunts are simpler and dumber than in Jackass 3D, they're the kind of stunts we got to know them with, and it's that style of stunts we love. The group is back together, and I'm sure all Jackass fans will love it. This movie brings back a lot of memories. There isn't much else to say, see it for yourself and laugh your *ss off !

This is one that I only saw once when it hit DVD. Jaime and I watched it again just to check it out as something easy to watch. To throw this out, it is another fun one.

Much like 2.5, I love the documentary feel by interviewing cast members as a peak behind the curtain. This is footage that didn't make 3D, so there's that. Still fun though and we both enjoyed our time here. Not as good, but worth a watch.

Equally crude and bizarre... But while I was watching this, which is the last one, I felt less disgust, disgust, what a pity, when reading the history of the most famous characters, their social, emotional and professional collapse, with the death of a member, and problems with most, it gave me a lot of sadness, the beginning of a dream that went wrong, sad...

Time to grow up. It was fun twenty years ago.

'JACKASS 3.5' is the latest and greatest of the entire movie series, it's certainly funnier that 'JACKASS 3D', and way funnier than any other recent comedy film of the year. Johnny Knoxville leads the group in the finale of the funniest movie series ever made!

PROS: The movie is certainly an improvement from 2.5, the other direct- to- DVD release because it has more funny skits and stunts and less interviews. I'm not saying that I don't like the interviews, truly, I do. It's just that with the interview aspect of the movie it seems like an 84 minute movie length version of 'The Office' (the one with Steve Carell, with all the stupid characters). The phantom camera scenes were also very funny, but I'd actually rather not talk about them. The gang is as lively as ever and are never tiring to watch.

CONS: The only bad part about the movie is that it wasn't released theatrically, if they did that, then more people would have watched and enjoyed it.

Overall, if you're a 'Jackass' fan, watch it. If not, watch it anyway. You'll love it. I certainly did.

Jackass 3.5 is the superior .5 out of the two that feels more complete than its predecessor thanks to a longer run time and more sketches. There's a better balance between insightful behind the scenes and fun interviews that further reinforce the group's strong chemistry as well as some truly iconic stunts that are just as good as the ones in the actual film. Jeff Tremaine's direction is great and the opening is genuinely one of the strongest and most fun out of the whole franchise. However, like all Jackasses the flaw lies in a few gags that are gross rather than funny.

So much good stuff here, in general it's a much more positive and simply fun .5 than some before. The guys behind the scenes messing around never gets old and some of the commentary behind stunts is great. There's a lot more commentary as well versus previous .5's that felt more like just extensions.

This .5 is also the most explicit one I think out of all of them, so many nude stunts with the hilarious Pontius. Not all that funny but most of the stuff here is still very much worth the watch. Also the intro is really fun, would've preferred it over the 3D one actually.

As good if not better than a movie itself, stunts were funny and the commentary added an extra level. The Bam/Dunn stunts just hit every time, so funny.
