Loring Murtha is a huge New York Jets fan and there are many references to this in the film. Joe Namath's auto biography is on Crackerjack's night table, the coach is named Ken O'Brien after the famous Jets Quarterback, and Scottie Prince's favorite meal is hot dogs, a reference to the New York Jets/Oakland Raiders game in 2009 where Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez was caught on camera eating a hot dog on the sidelines during a game.
When he wrote the script, Loring Murthawas living on Prince Street in New York City, and Rob Brock was living on Weehawken Street, hence the names of the two lead characters Prince and Hawkins.
Shooting was delayed an additional month after Loring Murtha was in an accident badly cutting the palms of both of his hands, making it impossible for him to throw a football.
There is a Shane Falco jersey hanging in Scottie's locker as well as a miniature Jeff Gordon # 24 car on the top shelf.
Jokingly referred to as "Snow-jans" amongst the crew as a result of having to adjust shooting due to multiple snowstorms.
