Captain Kerry takes "Below Deck" on its greatest adventure yet--the cold waters of Norway. Faye joins motor yacht Mercury as chief stew with experience from all over the world as a former businesswoman, but when she finds out her team of stews knows each other, she worries how their past will serve the interior. Chef Jess has a big appetite for wanderlust and adventure, but the remote conditions of Norway limit her provisioning options as she sizes up the storage issues on the boat as well as her new chief stew. Bosun Lewis is excited for his new opportunity to lead a team with kindness, but he's worried his aversion to conflict will soon be tested. When it's time for Nathan to hand over his anchor watch duties to deckhand Kyle, tensions rise and Kyle's cowboy ways leave Nathan wondering if he will buck up or shut up.

The first adventure of the season sends the charter on a caving expedition, but it's Kyle who ends up digging himself into a hole by flirting with Kasie in front of guests. When Capt. Kerry gets word of Kyle's behavior, red flags are at full-mast and he orders his easygoing bosun, Lewis, to get control of his team. Communication issues between the stews and the galley continue to mount, putting meal quality in jeopardy and sparking distrust between Jess and Faye. Lewis warns Kyle that his bad behavior has Capt. Kerry on high alert. When the Mercury engines fail, Kerry has to rely on his young deck crew to execute a precarious docking. With their first charter behind them, the crew celebrates with a night out on the town, but Kyle parties like there's no tomorrow. His failure to flush the cabin toilet leads to an altercation with Nathan and lands him in hot water with the captain again. Faye and Jess chalk up the issues between their departments to first-charter jitters. After sizing up her team, Faye doesn't name a second stew, leaving Oriana anxious and confused about her standing on the boat.

As the Mercury team prepares for their next charter, Capt. Kerry notifies the crew he asked Kyle to resign. Pressures rise for both the interior and exterior team as they are drowning in extra duties. Capt. Kerry lends a helping hand to the short-staffed deck crew by transporting the guests to the boat. These Southern belles are single and ready to mingle with the exterior team but start to lose their patience with the interior team as they realize most of their food items can't be sourced in Norway. Things get too hot in the galley during a stressful breakfast service, leaving Jess's future on the boat up in flames.

After Jess burns herself, Capt. Kerry lends a hand to prepare a five-star picnic for the guests' excursion. Nathan becomes a standout in service, leading guests on an epic biking adventure down the Trollstigen road by day and serving shirtless by night. As Charter 2 ends, Lewis faces the pressure of being a man down for another charter. Faye is furious when she learns that second stew epaulets have been ordered for Oriana behind her back. A crew night off leads to something steamy in the hot tub.

In the aftermath of Nathan's fall down the stairs, Lewis and Capt. Kerry worry they'll be down yet another deckhand as they await the arrival of a new crew member. During service, the interior team continues its ongoing battle with the exterior when Mike misses a walkie call to help carry plates to the table. Primary charter guest Heather Gay and friends request a fire and ice theme for their final dinner, prompting Jess to experiment with a dessert she's never made before, leaving her stressed. Communication issues cause problems on deck for Lewis just as his new deckhand - a former captain - arrives and starts assessing the team. Faye sets her sights on the new guy. A crew night out in Alesund ends with a one-cabin cuddle party.

With a full crew finally onboard the Mercury, things should be smooth sailing, but new deckhand Seth is quick to find cracks within the leadership of his department and vows he could run it better. A Viking Oktoberfest-themed dinner serves up some brat-ty attitudes when a plate mix-up pushes Chef Jess to call out the interior in front of the guests for not reading their preferences. Faye coordinates her most challenging adventure yet by taking the guests paragliding. While there, Faye must rely on the rest of her team to fulfill the other pieces of the adventure itinerary. However, when the plan changes without her permission, Faye reminds everyone why it's not a good idea to cross her.
Fed up with her crew's disobedience, Faye orders the team back to the picnic field to fulfill the guests' request for an afternoon of games. Lewis triumphs with a brilliant obstacle course featuring a gigantic inflatable iceberg, but breaking it down proves to be a comedy of errors for the entire deck team and creates more discord between him and Faye. Seth's frustrations with his less experienced bosun mount, leading him to approach Capt. Kerry about replacing Lewis. The crew is rewarded with an adventure of their own, but a day of canyoning is marked with fear, anxiety and a showdown between departments.

Tension between departments leaves Faye fed up as she vows that she's not going to be the nice chief stew they've had all season. Capt. Kerry mentors Lewis in the wheelhouse and suggests to his bosun he consider promoting someone to lead deckhand so he can spend more time working on his career path. Misconduct on the radio upsets the captain and thrusts Lewis back on deck, unable to trust his team to perform the most basic tasks. Frustrations continue to build between bunkmates in the interior, leading Kasie to make a plan with Jess to do a room swap. The deckies take their turn entertaining the guests in drag. On an epic abseiling adventure, Faye reaches her breaking point and cries in front of guests over forgotten chips.

The interior department is on thin ice following the guests finding hair in their food as chips go missing at the abseiling picnic. Faye calls Jess and the stews together in an effort to heal the fractured interior, but her quest to hide the hair issue from Capt. Kerry ends in disaster. Capt. Kerry attempts to outrun bad weather and return the guests safely to port. Kasie teaches Mike how to make a bed as the two get closer. Seth tries to further his relationship with Faye. Jess moves out of Faye's cabin hoping to ease growing tensions, but things only get worse when they fight over food for the guests' horseback riding adventure. A promotion in the exterior department rattles the rest of the deckhands.
Tension grows higher as the season gets shorter on Mercury when Faye and Jess disagree on how much food should be packed for the horseback riding adventure. Exhaustion gets to lead deckhand Seth, who puts the dynamic of the boat at risk when he's caught sleeping on the job. The start of the final charter leaves the Mercury crew feeling that an end is in sight, but that ending may come more quickly for some than others as Chef Jess spirals during dinner service and later storms out of the wheelhouse proclaiming this isn't where she needs to be.
After Kerry calls out her intimidating behavior, Jess makes a decision on whether to leave the Mercury before the end of the season. Faye faces her toughest test yet when she has to model the primary's dress at a photo shoot in Norway's famous marble caves while also managing service shorthanded. Seth confronts Kasie over the photo she took of him sleeping in the mess, leading to new accusations. Later, two crew members get intimate after everyone goes to bed. The Mercury crew says their last goodbye.
