- 'Anecdote of an Abusive Alcoholic' tells the tale of a woman suffering from domestic abuse, who suddenly is discovered dead. Although all leads point to her abusive husband, he denies any part of it; and thus must discover who is truly behind his wife's murder.—Anonymous
- Alistair Haddock knows he drinks too much, becomes too angry, and has a history of domestic violence. He also knows he didn't kill his wife. But after awaking the morning after another "alcohol induced blackout"; Alistair finds the dead body of his wife Deborah beside him. When the police arrive, after an anonymous phone call; Alistair is forced to fight his way out of his own house and evade police.
Meanwhile, unbeknown to him, his wife's young lover is aware of what has occurred. Motivated by avenging the slain woman, Jason Reeves makes a plan to track down and capture Alistair himself. Through flashbacks and monologues, Jason's true intentions are revealed.
Alistair soon finds that evading police is easy, but evading Jason is impossible. After being captured by his wifes "avenger"; Alistair is forced to feel the abuse and torture he bestowed on his wife.
