Debbie Rochon only worked on this film for one day. Moreover, Sid Haig was initially considered to play Rochon's role, but his salary for one day's work was too high for the filmmakers to pay.
Director/co-writer Rory Douglas Abel initially had the idea of doing a horror movie about a schizophrenic in a haunted house. Schizophrenia was eventually replaced with agoraphobia instead.
