After the death of his son, things start unraveling for Bertus du Toit, owner of a game farm called Granietfontein. His two brother, Frans and Jaap plot against him to get control of the farm and he discovers that his young wife, Lisa might be in on it. To make things worse, Frans runs a drug smuggling business right underneath his nose, his remaining son, Rudolph drinks incessantly and the new game ranger, Chris has a crush on the on the veterinarian, Sonja.

After Bertus announces that he sold Granietfontein, Jaap and Liza start scheming to get their hands on the ownership contract of the farm. Chris is hot pursuit of Frans, who is poaching on the farm. Daan and Rika's marriage is on the rocks, while their daughter, Ansie is involved with drugs.

Bertus tries to get the police to investigate Frans taxidermy business. Ansie runs away from home after having an argument with her dad. Chris tries to find out who is behind the break-in on the game farm and Frans discovers one of his employees isn't who he says he is.

Jaap discovers Bertus knows about him and Liza's schemes to gain control of the game farm while Rudolph shows special interest in his young step-mom. Brian gets Randall to clean up Frans' mess. Ansie moves in with Hein with disastrous consequences. Sonja gets herself in a tight spot while trying to save a small buck.

After the disappearance of Bertus, Chris finds a blood trail leading the the lion enclosure. Daan and Rika blame each other for Ansie's overdose. Liza seduces Rudolph, hoping that me might kill his father for her and Lubbe and Modise arrests Randall arrests Randall to get closer to Frans.

After Ansie's escape from the hospital, she finds Hein in bed with another girl. Frans gets Daan to get rid of Gert's body. Randall is forced to work with Lubbe and Modise to help get evidence against Frans and his drug business. Chris believes that something bad has happened to Bertus.

Rika goes to look for Ansie at The Palace, the nightclub where she usually hangs out, and she will do anything t protect her daughter. Lubbe and Modise goes after Brian, but things doesn't go they way they plan. Rudulph finds out the truth about his uncle and his step-mom's relationship. Chris makes a gruesome discovery in the lion encampment.

Dawn reveals to Rudolph that she is pregnant and Hettie confront Randall about it. Daan learns that Randall is working for Frans and he wants revenge against them for Ansie's death. Hein goes to Rika for help with his drug addiction. Lubbe and Modise sends Randall to Granietfontein to get a confession from Frans about Gert's death and Ivan tries to make a stand against Frans.

Tension is high on Granietfontein. Frans has managed to double-cross everyone close to him and all of them loath and despise him. Lubbe orders a strike force onto the game farm and they are ready to move in. Then all hell breaks loose.

With Frans dead everyone on Granietfontein is a suspect, and everyone is pointing fingers at one another, but it is Samson that shocks Chris with a confession. Bertus finally confronts Liza about her evil schemes with his brother and her adultery, and Randall and Brian hides out in the September house and takes Hettie and Dawn hostage.

Gert's body is found where Daan dumped it and Daan tries to convince Rika to leave the country with him, but Rika discovers the drug and money Daan stole from Frans. Bertus confronts first Rudolph and then Jaap about all their plotting and deceiving and Brian takes Sonja hostage and tries to flee from Granietfontein.

Bertus is rushed to the hospital after Jaap pushes him off a cliff. Brian and Liza visits Daan to find the money he stole from them. Dawn learns the truth about her mother and Frans' relationship. Rudolph is arrested for Ivan's murder.

Brian leads the police to where he has hidden the cases with the drugs. Dawn does to the clinic to get rid of the baby. Jaap makes a run for it after stealing diamonds off Granietfontein, with Liza in tow and it is finally revealed who the real murderer is.
