This is the first theatrical Spider-Man movie. The first American Spider-Man movie to be released in theaters came out in 2002.
One of Toei's last theatrical tokusatsu projects filmed in anamorphic ToeiScope (2.35:1). Since the next year, Toei switched to non-anamorphic/spherical 1.85:1 (vista-size, open-matte).
This film takes place between episodes 10 and 11 of the Japanese Spider-Man TV series.
