Well known South director Puri Jagannadh, who made his Bollywood debut with Big B starrer Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap, has been signed by veteran producer N.R.Pachisia to direct a film for his banner.

While the casting is yet to be finalized, the film will be a remake of one of Puri's popular Telugu films. Pachisia meanwhile is also producing the remake of the 2005 Malayalam film Rajamanikyam.

Sonal Chauhan made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with Jannat and then took a 3 year break to complete her education. She then returned with Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.

The role Raveena in this as mother of six years old boy and wife to a naval officer who goes missing after plan crash. Now the news is that Raveena is set to join the short list of female stars who have sung in films. She will make her singing debut with bilingual film “Ginn Liya Aasman”.

Therefore, female actors have kept away from the trend of singing in films, barring a few like Sridevi, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor. And Raveena is set to take the challenge head on.

Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he wants to carry on doing more challenging roles. The actor celebrates his 69th birthday today (October 11), having made his Bollywood debut in 1969's Saat Hindustani. He told Economic Times: "As an actor I want to be challenged, I want to do different kinds of roles, I don't have the burden of the leading man and therefore the burden of commercial success riding on me, which it used to earlier on. "Now, there are other leading contenders associated with me in the film, so they bear the burden. Yes, I am also partially responsible for the film but I get the opportunity to play different roles."
