Featured review
The thoughts of idol worker Nicholas 'Garble' Diabolus are put on trial, his beliefs that work is an arduous and torturous task is severely questioned by Prosecuting Counsel.
It's an unusual little film, it feels like a PR vehicle for British industry, it's a curiosity more than anything. The major gripe I had, this eyebrows, where on Earth did he get those eyebrows from.
The Country was just about getting on its feet, following a long spell of austerity, industry was once again growing, and huge changes were being made, technology was changing, and jobs that were once labour intense are now being done by machines.
The one part that made me chuckle, where would Britain be if it didn't make goods? I think we all know the answer to that question some seventy years on, they make it sound rather simple, you can ponder that for yourself.
An interesting oddity, 6/10.
