The film was called Battleground Los Angeles until the producers learned that Battle: LA was also coming out. They changed the name to stop any confusion. The film was originally conceived and hinted at in 1997 and 2004. The film, Nephilim ends where Alien Armageddon begins.
Katharine McEwan won Best Actress at the Malibu West International Film Festival in 2010.
