Production has wrapped in Chile on Vallastudio Films’ horror Tide’s Gift from Patricio Valladares, the filmmaker behind last year’s found-footage horror Invoking Yell and Hidden In The Woods.

Tide’s Gift (Lo Que Trajo la Marea) shot in Cobquecura in the Ñuble Region in southern Chile and follows two sisters who visit a beach after their mother’s funeral, only for one of them to begin to act strangely after she is nearly swept away by a current.

Blanc/Biehn announced in Cannes it has signed a deal with investor Hackybox Pictures to produce Hidden in the Woods, a remake of the 2012 Chilean horror film of the same name that will start shooting in early July in Houston, Texas.

The story follows two sisters raised by their abusive father in a remote locale who must answer to their drug baron uncle when their father is imprisoned.

Michael Biehn stars alongside William Forsythe, and original director Patricio Valledares takes the helm. Jennifer Blanc-Biehn produces with Loris Curci. Word has come out of the Fantasia International Film Festival that one of the horror genre's favorite couples, Jennifer Blanc and Michael Biehn, will soon be remaking Patricio Valladares' Hidden in the Woods! Read on for the early word!

After premiering their new thriller The Victim on July 23rd to rave responses at the 2012 Fantasia International Film Festival, Blanc/Biehn Productions announced they will be making the English language remake of Patrick Valladares’ En Las Afueras de la Ciudad (Hidden in the Woods), which will premiere at Fantasia on August 6th. Michel Biehn will star in the remake, which will be written by the original writers and creators of the Spanish version of the film which was shot in Chile by Patricio Valladares and Andrea Cavaletto. Jennifer Blanc-Biehn and Michael Biehn will produce. Production begins at the end of 2012 and will shoot on location in Chile.
