Ok so what is good?

1. Action 2. Main character 3. Their language, scenery, and kind of story 4. Also I like the clothes

What is not good: 1. I cant root for anyone, like it feels rushed in way, there is not much peace in scenes, only constant drama/action... 2. Like did you see Vikings tv show? With Ragnar, that you had action there.. but then there was a lot of downtime, like them processing things, building the world, you could connect with actors.

Here you got everything speed up.. It felt to me like Marvel but in Hawai.. I think that what is happening with this world, that people are consuming too much Short form content (tiktok,reels,shorts) and then we forgot that things can actually be "deep" and well thought..

Like why there isnt any part where they just enjoy life in movie little bit....

The cinematography is absolutely top-tier. Each scene feels immersive, authentic, and visually stunning; bringing the lush landscapes and intense battles to life with incredible detail. The action choreography is particularly impressive; the fights feel visceral and raw, more like real combat than staged sequences.

The writing has been strong so far. The story flows well and keeps you engaged throughout. The first episode is tightly paced and impactful. The second episode slows down a bit in the middle but finishes strong. Some points may feel a little predictable but they land effectively within the story's context.

The cast is excellent. Both lead and supporting actors deliver powerful performances, conveying raw emotions that help you connect with the characters on a deeper level.

A standout feature is the use of native Hawaiian languages throughout the first two episodes. This creative choice adds an incredible layer of authenticity and reflects the creators' respect and passion for the culture.

I would definitely recommend this to watch. It is a great action series with a fresh concept.

Idk if its just a terrible sounding language, or if the actors just don't speak the language and are faking it. But it sounds horrible and its impossible to sit through an entire episode listening to "uka la wala" sounds. Just pull a hollywood and speak english. Everything is off thanks to the language.

Chief of War is an absolute masterpiece. The cinematography is breathtaking, every frame feels like a painting, capturing the raw beauty and spirit of Hawaii. The score is equally powerful, swelling with emotion and driving the narrative with epic force.

What makes this series truly stand out is its authenticity. You're taken on a visceral, emotional journey through a chapter of history that desperately needed to be told. The decision to use the native Hawaiian language was perfection, it adds so much depth and integrity to the storytelling. If it had been in English, I honestly think it would have lost its soul.

The performances are strong across the board, and the action doesn't hold back, it hits you right in the face, both physically and emotionally. It's rare to see a show approach history with this level of cinematic beauty and cultural respect.

White dudes crying about the language, don't watch it, brainless mofu's, haha.

I absolutely love this show, finally exciting PACIFIC story telling.

LOVE THE LANGUAGE, it gives an extra dimension, some low IQ dudes just can't accept, everything non white feels like science fiction to them. They probably watch SQuidGame with English dubbed audio.

Acting is incredible , cinematography, everything!! If you have any brain cells , don't like it, don't watch it, go watch the fast and the furious , since that's your level.
