Carsick is a dark but comedic story with sharp social commentary woven in. Through a series of bizarre encounters while hitchhiking across America, two YouTube personality types trick one clueless professor into giving them a ride and offer an insightful look at the surreal underbelly of American society. The humor and writing exposes both the grotesque and the lovable aspects of these characters. As the story goes darker and darker the amazing performances of all three actors keep you on the edge of your seat with their raw, unapologetic spirit that injects into every scene, revealing not just a comedic road trip but a critique of contemporary culture-one that highlights the strange beauty in life's most unexpected moments. Definitely worth the watch!

This action packed thriller features a breakneck journey into our internet obsessed culture from writer and star Ruthellen Cheney. The story probes into the depths of what people will do to feel validated and relevant in a moment where everything must be documented. The script takes its time to build and plays to the height of intelligence and lets the audience draw their own conclusions. The talented cast of Cheney, Armand Lane, and Laura Yumi Snell infuses humanity and depth into complex and flawed characters. Director Cecilia Faraut's debut was a smash success with a steady hand, expert cuts, and beautifully cinematic eye. It's definitely a must watch! Will there be sequel??
Carsick turns Christmas Eve into a tense, edge-of-your-seat thriller. When a man offers a ride to two influencers with a fledgling cooking show, the journey spirals into a chilling battle for fame and survival.
With sharp performances and a claustrophobic setting, the film captures the fragile egos of social media fame while delivering suspenseful twists. The desolate holiday roads and psychological tension add to the atmosphere, and the finale is both shocking and thought-provoking.
Though the pacing lags briefly in the middle, Carsick is such a gripping critique of our obsession with relevance and a darkly entertaining holiday watch.
