Toward the beginning of the film, when Josh is trying to prevent Whitney from committing suicide, the scene with Josh smashing the door open was unscripted. As written, he was only supposed to bang on the door, but Robert Gemaehlich, who plays Josh in the film, got so worked up while shooting that he banged his head against the door until it opened, which is the shot that makes it into the film.
