He is so selfcentered, not in a funny way. He needs to know that he is annoying ,please someone talk with him.
I tried very hard to give him a chance but it was imposible. Maybe it would be better for everyone to look for another Job. I have a few ideas... He is rude with the audience and its not funny, actually makes me inconfortable. He is bossy with the camera girl not in a funny way.
His stories about drugs and nudes are basic. So basic. So lame.
Basically, This show is about a guy complaining about everything for 1hour. Its like listen my neighbor. No thanks. Do not waist your time when the re s so many great things to watch on Netflix.

Glad to see him in netflix. I knew he was going to make it on netflix. I also enjoyed the movie "fire island" which he wrote it and its at disney + .
His head looks big but actually small becuz his body seems quite fit. Anyway he is funny. Enjoyed the show.

I do find it funny how many people here are saying he's not funny Because they can't relate to the things he is talking about, having actually listened to what he said in this special. Did you really watch and listen to it or did you just wanna hate something today?
About the special itself, it was quite clever and he was really good with the audience or the audience was good with him. Some of the jokes seemed to miss a little and maybe he just abandoned them and moved on as a professional. But I did laugh aloud many times.
Not for everybody but you get a sense of who he is and if you like his persona you will find this funny.

Joel divides his act in 3 parts: about himself being an adopted gay Asian; about "White straight people" and; about sexuality.
From the whole set I only liked one of the adopted jokes, I didn't really know him before this special so I don't know if his trademark is being as edgy as his was in here, specially in more taboo themes like masturbation. It is interesting to bring more taboo themes to public, but as he say, and I might be misquoting, "you get to clap and laugh, not only clap", he was either telling a story or interacting with the audience, but it wasn't funny.
His text on itself isn't bad, it seems like he is about showing small outburst of jokes, as in here's one, now here's another, and he does that as he keeps on changing subjects, which is good writing. Unfortunately, the proposal of this special is to be a comedy, and I didn't find it funny, but it doesn't feel, from his material, that he aims to reach all audiences and that's okay, but it won't stop people like me, that aren't his audience, from watching his gig and end up disliking it.

Right, well I was not familiar with comedian Joel Kim Booster prior to stumbling upon the 2022 stand-up comedy special "Joel Kim Booster: Psychosexual" whilst perusing the stand-up comedy collection on Netflix. I opted to check out this unfamiliar comedian and check out what he had to offer.
I was moderately entertained throughout the course of the 67 minutes that the show ran for, as Joel Kim Booster does have some fairly adequate material. However, I weren't really brought to a lot of laughter, and that sort of counted against my liking the show. Don't get me wrong, because the material is good, and Joel Kim Booster has a great on-stage charisma and energy, and he delivers his jokes well enough. It just wasn't something that properly tickled me in the right places.
There is no doubt about that Joel Kim Booster should easily find an audience to enjoy his comedy show and material.
Will I check out another of his shows in the future? Yeah, most definitely, because he seemed energetic and I might just happen to enjoy whatever he comes up with next time more than I did this show.
My rating of "Joel Kim Booster: Psychosexual" lands on a five out of ten stars.
