Don't get me wrong, I really like Cyril Chauquet and chasing monsters is fantastic.
I like what he did with this show, fishing is outstanding however there are too many staged/ unrealistic situations .
I had the opportunity to go fishing in Amazon several times and while there are danger situations, some stuff in this show is not true.
It's like Bear Grylls shows.
Reality could be boring for some people, do I understand that this show is adding dramatic situations.
But as s fisherman I prefer the real stuff, actual information about places and fishes.
I hope that Cyril do more fishing shows.

Cyril needs acting lessons if he's gonna make an attempt at acting. In season 1 they came across a "hostile" group of natives. But you KNEW they would encounter these people because of the way the show was scripted! His over exaggerated heavy breathing when he has the fish, no matter what size, coupled with the "intense" commentary made me cringe! I love watching wild fishing shows. But after watching this show, I had to renew my love of wild fishing by watching the master, Jeremy Wade!!! I only gave 3 stars because he did catch some large fish! To the production staff of this show, PLEASE make Cyril watch some River Monster episodes! Cyril over talks and under delivers on some many of these episodes!

It's an over scripted poor attempt to recreate River Monsters. The added scripted drama is almost too much and makes the show less enjoyable to watch. Fishing in remote areas has its own difficulties and dangers that doesn't need to be overly exaggerated to add drama. It's almost like the writer is a fifth grader trying to make a story about fishing seem more exciting than it really is by embellishing the smallest details. I understand that they have to make it exciting enough to entertain their viewers but the show loses itself in trying to be exciting and dramatic. To say it's a cringe worthy attempt at making a drama fishing show is putting it lightly.
