Developer/publisher sodesign looks to scratch that post-apocalyptic itch for Survival Horror fans with their upcoming third-person shooter Minsk, which recently had nine minutes of gameplay revealed to get you in the mood. Courtesy of YouTube channel Punish, the video shows off the wasteland you’ll have to navigate, as well as glimpses of the enemies you’ll be having to fend off as you scavenge for supplies.
The story for Minsk, centres around a post-apocalyptic world (naturally). On the brink of extinction, survivors hide from a toxic fog. You play as a robot that is the last hope for survival, where you must traverse into abandoned cities to find essential resources for your creators’ survival. Things aren’t so easy, as you’ll not only need to navigate the crumbling buildings, but also deal with whatever’s wandering around the surface.

Tom Hardy offers up a hopeful response regarding his return as Max Rockatansky for Mad Max: The Wasteland. Hardy first played Max in director George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), taking on the role made famous by actor Mel Gibson. The film was critically acclaimed, and Miller would return to the franchise with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga earlier this year, which saw Anya Taylor-Joy taking over the role of Furiosa from Charlize Theron. It's currently unclear what's next for the franchise.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Venom: The Last Dance, Hardy is asked about whether he'll be back as Max for an additional Mad Max movie. While the franchise's future remains up in the air, the actor makes clear he'd be open to reprising his role:
"No, I haven't been told anything about it yet, but obviously I'd love to do that.

With the release of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a remake of the 2010 original, players can make the most of this remake by getting every achievement or trophy in the game. Though this can be daunting, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed has a small list of relatively reasonable achievements, making it an option for even those who may not consider themselves completionists.
There are 39 achievements, or trophies, for players to acquire in the game, and it will take at least two playthroughs minimum to get them all. Keep in mind, however, that although there are 39 trophies, you will only need to technically unlock 38 as the 39th achievement is simply for completing all 38 other achievements and will unlock automatically once you have everything else.
All Trophies & Achievements In Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Every Automatic & Missable Trophy To 100% The Game
As stated before, players will need to complete a minimum of two playthroughs to unlock every achievement.

"Men in Black" is a brisk summer blockbuster that does the unthinkable, especially in today's over-explicative superhero movie wasteland: it doesn't repeat information. It moves from plot point to plot point cleanly and clearly in a way that, judging from the box office, plays for all four commercial quadrants. It flatters the viewer by treating them as smart and perceptive, and rewards them with a tremendously satisfying finale. I can't think of too many studio tentpoles that pull this off with such glee.
Of course, no movie goes through production without its share of hiccups, and very few are shot exactly as written on the page. Sometimes, when you begin screening your movie for test audiences, you notice that seemingly can't-miss laugh lines don't get laughs, or a major action set piece feels out of place, or, worst of all,...

Epic Mickey first arrived over a decade ago as a bold experiment. Disney tasked Warren Spector, the mind behind acclaimed immersive sims, to craft an adventure starring their most iconic character.
While many third-party Wii titles traded nuance for waggle gimmicks, Spector saw potential. He envisioned a 3D platformer casting Mickey in atypical contexts, grappling with meaningful choices with story consequences.
Gamers were enthralled, but issues held it back. Its dark, whimsical world shone through flawed visuals. Now Disney revisits this cult classic with Rebrushed. Developer Purple Lamp refines familiar mechanics while upgrading visuals for modern hardware. You once more guide Mickey through the Wasteland, a world forgotten characters now call home. However, consequences of Mickey’s past mistakes still linger, presenting familiar dilemmas in refreshed form.

Before returning to the Wasteland with Fury Road after three decades, George Miller embarked into the realm of animation to kickstart another IP, mainly geared towards children. Interestingly, Happy Feet became the first entry in his filmography to make Miller a recipient of an Oscar, and the director has been vocal about his adoration for the franchise.

However, it has been just crickets since Happy Feet Two‘s release, which was seen as a step down from the original release, and as for the franchise’s future, it doesn’t seem Miller is going to revisit the IP anytime soon.

The Fallout franchise has become one of gaming's most popular franchises over the years, with its popularity recently being boosted by the Amazon Prime series. As apocalyptic, nuclear wasteland game franchises go, Fallout is perhaps the mascot of the industry and thrives thanks to its retro-futuristic setting. It is one of Bethesda's flagship franchises and popular enough with fans for them to make grand projects, like Fallout: London's total conversion of Fallout 4. Still, Bethesda hasn't released a new game since 76 and likely won't until after Elder Scrolls 6, so players may need to look for a Fallout fix elsewhere.
Although the setting has always remained consistent, Fallout as a gaming series changed genres when it got to its third installment. Before that, Fallout games were isometric CRPGs known for their brilliant writing and world-building. Now, Fallout is an action RPG series with shooter elements that rely heavily on the freedom...

A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin took to his Not A Blog this week with more updates, and as is mandated by the old gods and the new, we are here to discuss them. Last week Martin published a post announcing that he'd returned from his month-long trip to Europe, where he visited the set of the Game of Thrones spinoff A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in Belfast, attended the World Science Fiction Convention in Glasgow, and more. He also said that he would soon be airing some grievances about House of the Dragon season 2 in the near future.
This blog post, titled "September Morn," doesn't get into the nitty-gritty for House of the Dragon. Instead it's a much more cheerful update, all about the short films Martin has been producing based on the works of author Howard Waldrop. One of them, Mary-Margaret Road Grader,...

It is safe to say we will likely never watch Mad Max: The Wasteland, the long teased semi-sequel/prequel set between the events of the original Mad Max trilogy, which starred Mel Gibson, and Mad Max: Fury Road, the one that saw actor Tom Hardy step into the Aussie’s shoes. Like the movie that became this summer’s criminally overlooked Furiosa, The Wasteland was developed by franchise maestro George Miller and Nico Lathouris, the latter of whom is a dramaturge Miller originally brought in to develop an emotional authenticity and depth to Mad Max: Fury Road’s screenplay.
Instead their exploration of the material and characters went so deep that Lathouris ended up getting a screenplay credit on Fury Road while also producing versions of scripts that became the first draft of Furiosa and the still as yet unmade Mad Max: The Wasteland. To this day, Miller describes Wasteland...

Alex Clark is a renowned photographer embarking on a solitary journey through the bleak desert landscapes of the American Southwest. Well known for his striking photos capturing abandoned buildings taken over by nature, Alex hopes to recapture the fire of his early career and rekindle his passion for photography.
Now middle-aged with his creative spark feeling faded, he leaves behind technology to let his wanderings get lost in nature’s reclamation of what remains after civilization’s fleeting presence.
Directed and co-written by Joshua Erkman in his feature debut, A Desert blends elements of neo-noir and psychological horrorfilm to explore Alex’s literal and metaphorical voyage. Erkman deftly guides leading man Kai Lennox’s compelling performance as the isolated artist searching for meaning through his craft.
While calling wife Sarah Lind each night for comfort, Alex finds himself drawn into growing darkness amid the film’s decayed yet strangely beautiful Southwestern locations.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is now streaming on Max. The film's box office flop may be offset by streaming success. The Mad Max franchise is likely to find success through streaming.
The latest entry in George Miller's series about an apocalyptic dystopian wasteland is now available to stream, and hopefully Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga can get more recognition after the disappointing box office. The first Mad Max movie was released in 1979, and the film starred Mel Gibson in the titular role. Since then, the wild diesel-fuelled future that sees humanity devolve into metal heads has garnered a great deal of praise, and several sequels.
However, not every movie in the franchise was received so well upon release. Despite continuing to get rave reviews, and expanding the world imagined by Miller, Furiosa was a pretty significant box office flop. With a 90% critics score, and 89% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes,...

A Chinese trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine was released yesterday and, seeing as it appeared to be identical to the English language version, we included it at the bottom of this spoiler-filled article.
However, it took fans on social media little to no time to notice some big changes in the sneak peek. For starters, with the movie now completed, colour grading has been added which alters how the threequel looks fairly significantly.
Early sneak peeks were criticised for being bland, with many quick to share side-by-side comparisons of the difference between Deadpool & Wolverine's Void and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga's Wasteland.
Now, it's fair to say this location at the end of time is exactly where it needs to be...

In an early scene of Mad Max: Fury Road, the warrior called Furiosa (Charlize Theron in that film) stands in a shadowless patch of barren desert alongside several women who have been sheltered from the heat, if not misery, all their lives. One of them laments about a flesh wound she just suffered as they watch their last ride out of the Wasteland vanish into the horizon. “It hurts,” she whispers. “Out here everything hurts,” Furiosa responds. “Now pick up what you can and run.”
Fans and admirers of George Miller’s Mad Max films can probably relate to that feeling these days. Back in 2010, it was reported that director George Miller would be shooting two new entries in his post-apocalyptic Mad Max franchise back-to-back: the sequel Mad Max: Fury Road and a follow-up called Furiosa. But things didn’t work out that way, and making Mad Max: Fury Road on its own proved to quite a struggle – a five month shoot in the deserts of Namibia, with two lead actors (Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky and Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa) who couldn’t stand each other. Miller didn’t let the grueling process put him off making more Mad Max movies, though. Immediately after the release of Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015, Miller announced that he had already written a screenplay and a novella of further stories… and Max himself would return in a film called Mad Max: The Wasteland. But nine years have passed, the Fury Road prequel Furiosa is now in theatres,...

George Miller’s Mad Max franchise is one of the most revered action franchises of all time. After it spun out the Tom Hardy-starrer Oscar-winning Mad Max: Fury Road, all we got is a prequel about the character Furiosa. Starring Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy, two immensely popular actors, the movie made its debut with rave reviews but has been struggling at the box office.
A still from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga | Warner Brothers
While even fans described the film as incredible to watch, the movie failing to live up to its expectations at the box office can be attributed to one Star Wars movie. Solo: A Star Wars Story was a bomb at the box office despite being based on one of the best fictional characters of all time. And while the two franchises share little similarity, the fate of Solo seems to predict that Furiosa was deemed to fail.

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth starrer Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga opened last week to great reviews. The film had decent anticipation among audiences, following the massive cult following of 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road, which was a big awards contender. However, the film has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The film is not performing well at the box office despite the impeccable filmmaking and zany qualities that George Miller’s Mad Max films have been known for. Amidst the controversy around the use of AI and the fear of it taking over people’s jobs, the film made creative use of the tool to enhance the film rather than manipulate audiences into believing something it’s not.

Nine years after the release of Mad Max: Fury Road and nearly 45 years after his original Mad Max movie debut, George Miller brought Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The movie has raised eyebrows for the spectacular action sequences and the gravity of the origin story of the title character after the movie’s premiere at Cannes.

Cannes audiences also honored the Miller-directed movie starring Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiorsa with a seven-minute standing ovation. Further, the critical accolades were an indicator of the fact that Furiosa would be the next big hit in the franchise. However, the expectation of the movie took a U-turn when the movie debuted in the theaters on 23 May.

Did Furiosa’s Poor Box Office Performance Get Another Mad Mad Movie Shelved? (Photo Credit – IMDb)
After a surprisingly bad debut at the box office, George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga might have just ruined the chances of any other Mad Max sequels or prequels. As George Miller wrote Fury Road, he also worked on developing Furiosa and The Wastelands. But given the box office performance of Furiosa, it might have put a halt to the next Mad Max movie.
Forty-five years after George Miller introduced audiences to Mad Max, the auteur may have finally reached the end of the road through the postapocalyptic wasteland unless he can find redemption with his Mad Max films.

Forty-five years after George Miller introduced audiences to Mad Max, the auteur may have finally hit the end of the road through the postapocalyptic wasteland unless he finds some high-octane gasoline soon.
The revered filmmaker’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga bowed to a disappointing $32 million domestically for the four-day Memorial Day weekend and $36.5 million overseas, diminishing hopes for Mad Max: The Wasteland, another Max installment Miller has been toying with for years.
Miller and Nico Lathouris wrote the scripts for both The Wasteland and Furiosa as part of the development process of Mad Max: Fury Road, the 2015 Warner Bros. film that became a surprise awards season juggernaut, winning six Oscars, and which became an instant action classic. The Wasteland would follow Max Rockatansky in the year before Fury Road, and is said to involve a young mother — and (naturally) include plenty of action.

The bad times at the summer box office just keep coming this weekend, as George Miller's post-apocalyptic road epic "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" lines up a historic low for the Memorial Day weekend. After grossing $10.2 million on its opening day (including previews), "Furiosa" is on track for a dismal $31 million four-day weekend (per The Wrap), significantly below the $45.4 million three-day debut of "Mad Max: Fury Road" in 2015. The good news is that "Furiosa" is in a close battle with "The Garfield Movie" for the No. 1 spot. That's the next "Mad Max" spin-off right there! (Jon Arbuckle's Wasteland name would be Jizzboy the Gronk.)
As I covered last week, when John Krasinski's fantasy film "If" opened to similar numbers, Hollywood is currently experiencing the fallout of last year's strikes. Production shutdowns and subsequent release date delays mean that this year's summer slate is short on guaranteed hits,...

This article has some pretty big Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga spoilers.
For 18 years and 148 minutes of runtime, Furiosa simply wants to go home. This primal, human need is a universal motivation, and it takes on mythic proportions in a movie where audiences know that quest is doomed. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is of course being marketed as an “odyssey;” an epic about the formative years of the most badass character to ever cross the Wasteland. Yet because you should remember that the Green Place is long destroyed by the time Mad Max: Fury Road rolls along, this film and Anya Taylor-Joy’s characterization of this woman at its heart is haunted by an air of futility.
… Which makes the unexpectedly hopeful ending all the more beautiful as we discover what exactly Furiosa does beneath a tree with the man who took everything from her.

Lady and gentlemens, the great George Miller has returned with another Wasteland tale! Listen to his words carefully! The prequel to the Aussie post-apocalyptic action spectacle Mad Max: Fury Road has pulled up into theaters. While Fury Road gave enough of a background on Charlize Theron’s character to get us behind her as a protagonist, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is Miller’s attempt to expand on it even further with a larger scope than the series has seen before.
Reviews for Furiosa have been positive, with a certified fresh critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an 89% and an audience score of 93%. Our own Chris Bumbray raved in his review, “Miller’s made this a tactile, visceral experience that drives home the point that at seventy-nine, he’s still a master of his craft and making movies directors forty years his junior wouldn’t have the energy or skill to tackle.

With the "Power Armor Voice Changer" mod, players can sound like Maximus from the Fallout series while wreaking havoc in Fallout 4. Fans are turning to mods for a more immersive experience in the game, mirroring the Wasteland seen in the Prime Video series. Despite recent mod-breaking updates from Bethesda, the Fallout 4 community continues to create add-ons for a unique gameplay experience.
The Power Armor that players can find and wear in Fallout 4 is always cool but with one small mod, it's made even better and significantly more intimidating. As the game's community continues to swell thanks to the success of Prime Video's streaming series, many have begun turning to mods to make Bethesda's RPG feel a little more like the Wasteland seen in the show. Some of these are small add-ons that just tweak visual and Ui elements to evoke some of the series' imagery, but others are made to make role-playing a priority.

Furiosa: A Max Max Saga had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, nearly a decade after the debut of Mad Max: Fury Road at the same festival. The first reviews for Furiosa have begun pouring in, and while they’re just as full of praise as those first reactions, it doesn’t sound like it reaches the heights of Fury Road.
Variety‘s Owen Gleiberman said that while Furiosa contains “a handful of awesome action moments,” the action doesn’t take center stage in the same way it did in Fury Road. “The most important thing to say about ‘Furiosa,’ however, is that what it all adds up to is a movie that can be darkly bedazzling, and that will be embraced and defended in a dozen passionate ways — but it’s one that, to me, falls very short of being a ‘Mad Max’ home run,” Gleiberman wrote.

Since their beginnings in 1979, George Miller’s hyper-jacked Mad Max movies with Mel Gibson had not received a single Oscar nomination, not even for Tina Turner’s great signature song “We Don’t Need Another Hero” in 1985’s Beyond Thunderdome. But then, 30 years later, when finally the fourth and Gibson-less edition appeared, the snooty Academy got on board and gave the newly regenerated Mad Max: Fury Road 10 nominations including for Best Picture and Director. It won six of them, virtually sweeping the crafts categories.
Nine years later comes a prequel, Furosia: A Mad Max Saga, and Miller, now seemingly ageless at 79 (he was 34 when the first one came out) has perhaps given birth to the greatest Max yet, a wheels-up, rock-and-rolling epic that delivers the origin story of the title character Charlize Theron picked up in Fury Road when she was about 26.
That movie only covered about three days total.

Despite Fallout taking place in the aftermath of a nuclear war, it’s truly not the end of the world for the Prime Video series, which has many miles to go.
Fans of video games are fanatics about how faithfully adapted into movies and series, and according to Fallout executive producer Geneva Robertson-Dworet, speaking recently during an interview with cast and creatives at Deadline Studio at Prime Experience, “there is so much we had to leave behind” in Season 1. “[There’s] potentially thousands of hours of gameplay; we have eight hours to tell our story.”

With a Season 2 order under its belt, as well as becoming the most watched Amazon Prime series launch ever per Nielsen with 2.9 billion minutes viewed, Robertson-Dworet says they’ll now “be able to get to so much more that we love about the Fallout world.”

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth are ready to “make it epic” when Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga barrels into cinemas on May 24, 2024! As tickets for the full-throttle prequel become available for pre-order, the final Furiosa trailer explodes onto screens with action, drama, and one particular shot that now makes me curious about an element of the film. I’m talking about the shot of the CGI-enhanced War Boy.
My knee-jerk reaction to the CGI-enhanced War Boy is one of apprehension. How large of a role does this character play in the film, and will their cartoonishness offset an otherwise incredible-looking film? I hope not. One of the more thrilling elements of Miller’s Mad Max series is the visual spectacle, and I worry the CGI-enhanced War Boy could be an “arrow to the knee.” I could be entirely off base, and I’m simply being paranoid for no good reason.

The time has come for audiences to start witnessing George Miller’s newest action epic to see if it takes them to Valhalla or leaves them scrounging for food in the desert. The latest installment of the Mad Max saga spins off from Mad Max: Fury Road and sees Anya Taylor-Joy taking up the role from Charlize Theron. It had recently been confirmed that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will also be the franchise’s longest film, with the Cannes Film Festival website confirming its 2 hour and 28 minute runtime. While that means the film is significantly longer (by a half hour) than Fury Road, it’s worth noting that this prequel tells a truly epic tale that takes place over decades. Fury Road only took place over two days.

Watch out for The Ghoul in Amazon's Fallout - his high level in the wasteland makes him nearly unbeatable. The Ghoul's stats and abilities in the show mirror those from the video games, showcasing his strength. The Fallout series delves into The Ghoul's past, revealing his military background, making him an interesting and powerful character.
Amazon's Fallout has several powerful characters, but The Ghoul appears to be the strongest, which is explained through one game mechanic. Based on the hit video game franchise, Fallout has proven to be an incredible success, heading straight to number 1 on Amazon's charts. The video game adaptation implements many features from its source material, including one mechanic that helps explain why The Ghoul is so powerful. His exposure to radiation turns him from a charismatic actor into a cold-blooded bounty hunter who has to take drastic measures to survive, making him one of the wasteland's most dangerous survivors.

Dated visuals and animations in Fallout 3 are overshadowed by newer titles with better graphics and animations. Lackluster crafting system and weapon upgrades hinder the survival game experience in Fallout 3. Fallout 3's gameplay feels sluggish and outdated, especially compared to newer shooters with better gunplay.
Fallout 3 is a special title in gaming for several reasons. For one, it is the first title in the series made by Bethesda, marking its move to an Fps over a Crpg. Another reason is that it is beloved by the community, so much so that there is a mod for Fallout 4 called Capital Wasteland, in which devoted fans are seeking to recreate the entirety of the third title in Fallout 4, with the sequel's better graphics and gameplay.
Still, that doesn't change that the series' third entry is getting on in age. By its nature, it does not have the longevity and agelessness of the titles...

George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road spent so much time in development that its previous star, Mel Gibson, seemingly got too old for the action role. Gibson was replaced by Tom Hardy in the 2015 film, which went on to become one of the greatest action films of all time. Fans always wondered whether the Og Max Rockatansky would meet with the new one in any of the future installments. Miller confirmed that it wouldn’t happen and had a perfectly valid reason for it.

Before Bethesda acquired Fallout and handed the development over to Todd Howard, the world was already a wonderful place in dystopia. In some way, it had gotten a great deal on a silver platter. Recently, the franchise received a live-action TV adaptation, which has been met with generally favorable reviews, sighing relief to the dubious fan base.
A plethora of interesting Easter eggs have been hidden in the latest TV show, which could easily blow fans’ minds. Fans on the internet are still busy finding more of them. The world they knew remained wasted as they left it in the video games. Bethesda appears to have pulled it straight out of them for the American TV series.

There are a lot of iconic video game soundtracks, but none are quite as magical as Fallout’s. There’s a strange alchemy to the way the franchise pairs its ultra-violent combat and desolate, post-apocalyptic setting with wistful mid-century ditties. The music isn’t a mere accompaniment to the gameplay; it’s the beating heart of the series and has made the games so enduring and beloved they’ve spawned an Amazon Prime TV show. In other words, without its licensed soundtrack, Fallout wouldn’t be the phenomenon it’s become.
The franchise’s musical identity has taken over 27 years to develop and evolve, but the ‘50s post-war sentiment of blissful optimism quivering under the looming threat of nuclear war that is felt throughout the series was established in the first game.

Fallout‘s got a new trailer recently for its TV show; by the looks of it, it is already doing justice to the franchise.
