Developer/publisher sodesign looks to scratch that post-apocalyptic itch for Survival Horror fans with their upcoming third-person shooter Minsk, which recently had nine minutes of gameplay revealed to get you in the mood. Courtesy of YouTube channel Punish, the video shows off the wasteland you’ll have to navigate, as well as glimpses of the enemies you’ll be having to fend off as you scavenge for supplies.

The story for Minsk, centres around a post-apocalyptic world (naturally). On the brink of extinction, survivors hide from a toxic fog. You play as a robot that is the last hope for survival, where you must traverse into abandoned cities to find essential resources for your creators’ survival. Things aren’t so easy, as you’ll not only need to navigate the crumbling buildings, but also deal with whatever’s wandering around the surface.

Tom Hardy offers up a hopeful response regarding his return as Max Rockatansky for Mad Max: The Wasteland. Hardy first played Max in director George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), taking on the role made famous by actor Mel Gibson. The film was critically acclaimed, and Miller would return to the franchise with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga earlier this year, which saw Anya Taylor-Joy taking over the role of Furiosa from Charlize Theron. It's currently unclear what's next for the franchise.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Venom: The Last Dance, Hardy is asked about whether he'll be back as Max for an additional Mad Max movie. While the franchise's future remains up in the air, the actor makes clear he'd be open to reprising his role:

"No, I haven't been told anything about it yet, but obviously I'd love to do that.

With the release of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a remake of the 2010 original, players can make the most of this remake by getting every achievement or trophy in the game. Though this can be daunting, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed has a small list of relatively reasonable achievements, making it an option for even those who may not consider themselves completionists.

There are 39 achievements, or trophies, for players to acquire in the game, and it will take at least two playthroughs minimum to get them all. Keep in mind, however, that although there are 39 trophies, you will only need to technically unlock 38 as the 39th achievement is simply for completing all 38 other achievements and will unlock automatically once you have everything else.

Before returning to the Wasteland with Fury Road after three decades, George Miller embarked into the realm of animation to kickstart another IP, mainly geared towards children. Interestingly, Happy Feet became the first entry in his filmography to make Miller a recipient of an Oscar, and the director has been vocal about his adoration for the franchise.

The latest entry in George Miller's series about an apocalyptic dystopian wasteland is now available to stream, and hopefully Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga can get more recognition after the disappointing box office. The first Mad Max movie was released in 1979, and the film starred Mel Gibson in the titular role. Since then, the wild diesel-fuelled future that sees humanity devolve into metal heads has garnered a great deal of praise, and several sequels.

The remake of Epic Mickey called Epic Mickey Rebrushed will finally be released this fall on various platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (via Steam) on September 24, 2024.

The game is made by Tq Nordic and Purple Lamp Studio and will cost $59.99.

Those who have digital pre-orders for the game will get 24 hours of early access staring on September 23 and downloadable “Costume Pack” featuring “Steamboat Willie, “Brave Little Tailor,” and “Football” costumes for Mickey Mouse.

If you do not buy early digital access, you can still purchase the “Costume Pack” for $4.99.

The game is available for preorder on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and GameStop.

Following the overwhelming success of the Fallout series on Prime Video, many fans thought Bethesda would speed up the development of the next main game in the franchise. For 18 years and 148 minutes of runtime, Furiosa simply wants to go home. This primal, human need is a universal motivation, and it takes on mythic proportions in a movie where audiences know that quest is doomed. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is of course being marketed as an “odyssey;” an epic about the formative years of the most badass character to ever cross the Wasteland. Yet because you should remember that the Green Place is long destroyed by the time Mad Max: Fury Road rolls along, this film and Anya Taylor-Joy’s characterization of this woman at its heart is haunted by an air of futility.

… Which makes the unexpectedly hopeful ending all the more beautiful as we discover what exactly Furiosa does beneath a tree with the man who took everything from her.

Lady and gentlemens, the great George Miller has returned with another Wasteland tale! Listen to his words carefully! The prequel to the Aussie post-apocalyptic action spectacle Mad Max: Fury Road has pulled up into theaters. While Fury Road gave enough of a background on Charlize Theron’s character to get us behind her as a protagonist, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is Miller’s attempt to expand on it even further with a larger scope than the series has seen before.

Reviews for Furiosa have been positive, with a certified fresh critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an 89% and an audience score of 93%. Our own Chris Bumbray raved in his review, “Miller’s made this a tactile, visceral experience that drives home the point that at seventy-nine, he’s still a master of his craft and making movies directors forty years his junior wouldn’t have the energy or skill to tackle.

With the "Power Armor Voice Changer" mod, players can sound like Maximus from the Fallout series while wreaking havoc in Fallout 4. Fans are turning to mods for a more immersive experience in the game, mirroring the Wasteland seen in the Prime Video series. Despite recent mod-breaking updates from Bethesda, the Fallout 4 community continues to create add-ons for a unique gameplay experience.

The Power Armor that players can find and wear in Fallout 4 is always cool but with one small mod, it's made even better and significantly more intimidating. As the game's community continues to swell thanks to the success of Prime Video's streaming series, many have begun turning to mods to make Bethesda's RPG feel a little more like the Wasteland seen in the show. Some of these are small add-ons that just tweak visual and Ui elements to evoke some of the series' imagery, but others are made to make role-playing a priority.

Furiosa: A Max Max Saga had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, nearly a decade after the debut of Mad Max: Fury Road at the same festival. The first reviews for Furiosa have begun pouring in, and while they’re just as full of praise as those first reactions, it doesn’t sound like it reaches the heights of Fury Road.

Variety‘s Owen Gleiberman said that while Furiosa contains “a handful of awesome action moments,” the action doesn’t take center stage in the same way it did in Fury Road. “The most important thing to say about ‘Furiosa,’ however, is that what it all adds up to is a movie that can be darkly bedazzling, and that will be embraced and defended in a dozen passionate ways — but it’s one that, to me, falls very short of being a ‘Mad Max’ home run,” Gleiberman wrote.

Since their beginnings in 1979, George Miller’s hyper-jacked Mad Max movies with Mel Gibson had not received a single Oscar nomination, not even for Tina Turner’s great signature song “We Don’t Need Another Hero” in 1985’s Beyond Thunderdome. But then, 30 years later, when finally the fourth and Gibson-less edition appeared, the snooty Academy got on board and gave the newly regenerated Mad Max: Fury Road 10 nominations including for Best Picture and Director. It won six of them, virtually sweeping the crafts categories.

Nine years later comes a prequel, Furosia: A Mad Max Saga, and Miller, now seemingly ageless at 79 (he was 34 when the first one came out) has perhaps given birth to the greatest Max yet, a wheels-up, rock-and-rolling epic that delivers the origin story of the title character Charlize Theron picked up in Fury Road when she was about 26.

That movie only covered about three days total.

Despite Fallout taking place in the aftermath of a nuclear war, it’s truly not the end of the world for the Prime Video series, which has many miles to go.

Fans of video games are fanatics about how faithfully adapted into movies and series, and according to Fallout executive producer Geneva Robertson-Dworet, speaking recently during an interview with cast and creatives at Deadline Studio at Prime Experience, “there is so much we had to leave behind” in Season 1. “[There’s] potentially thousands of hours of gameplay; we have eight hours to tell our story.”

As tickets for the full-throttle prequel become available for pre-order, the final Furiosa trailer explodes onto screens with action, drama, and one particular shot that now makes me curious about an element of the film. I’m talking about the shot of the CGI-enhanced War Boy.

My knee-jerk reaction to the CGI-enhanced War Boy is one of apprehension. How large of a role does this character play in the film, and will their cartoonishness offset an otherwise incredible-looking film? I hope not. One of the more thrilling elements of Miller’s Mad Max series is the visual spectacle, and I worry the CGI-enhanced War Boy could be an “arrow to the knee.” I could be entirely off base, and I’m simply being paranoid for no good reason.

The time has come for audiences to start witnessing George Miller’s newest action epic to see if it takes them to Valhalla or leaves them scrounging for food in the desert. The latest installment of the Mad Max saga spins off from Mad Max: Fury Road and sees Anya Taylor-Joy taking up the role from Charlize Theron. It had recently been confirmed that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will also be the franchise’s longest film, with the Cannes Film Festival website confirming its 2 hour and 28 minute runtime. While that means the film is significantly longer (by a half hour) than Fury Road, it’s worth noting that this prequel tells a truly epic tale that takes place over decades. Fury Road only took place over two days.

Fallout 3's gameplay feels sluggish and outdated, especially compared to newer shooters with better gunplay.

Fallout 3 is a special title in gaming for several reasons. For one, it is the first title in the series made by Bethesda, marking its move to an Fps over a Crpg. Another reason is that it is beloved by the community, so much so that there is a mod for Fallout 4 called Capital Wasteland, in which devoted fans are seeking to recreate the entirety of the third title in Fallout 4, with the sequel's better graphics and gameplay.

Still, that doesn't change that the series' third entry is getting on in age. By its nature, it does not have the longevity and agelessness of the titles...

George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road spent so much time in development that its previous star, Mel Gibson, seemingly got too old for the action role. Gibson was replaced by Tom Hardy in the 2015 film, which went on to become one of the greatest action films of all time. But at Saturday’s Deadline Contenders Television panel, the perennial character actor — beaming in from overseas, where he is shooting The White Lotus — said the task of transformation proved to be “extremely anxiety provoking” at first. The fan-favorite post-apocalyptic video game series Fallout is the most prominent it has ever been, with an ambitious live-action television adaptation coming to Prime Video while publisher Bethesda SoftWorks continues to guide the games moving forward.

However, while Bethesda brought Fallout to new heights in 2008 with Fallout 3, the action RPG franchise goes back further by over a decade. Following Bethesda’s acquisition of the Fallout franchise, major changes were instituted that bristled purist fans of the initial games in the series for the alterations to gameplay and presentation.

“Baba O’Riley” closed out an eight-song performance from Daltrey, who opened his set by singing a cover of Who bandmate Pete Townshend’s solo hit “Let My Love Open the Door.”

In fan-filmed video footage, Daltrey is joined onstage by the aforementioned singers a couple minutes into “Baba O’Riley,” as Plant, Vedder, and company deliver the anthemic song’s famous line, “Don’t cry/ Don’t raise your eye/ It’s only teenage wasteland.

Fallout‘s got a new trailer recently for its TV show; by the looks of it, it is already doing justice to the franchise. Players may have speculated certain things after consuming every bit of the post-apocalyptic world that was shown in the trailer. But if they turn their heads to the conversations and details emerging on the internet, they might as well know the potential ending the show’s developers could be going with.

The TV adaptation of the popular dystopia-focused franchise will follow the story of a Vault Dweller called Lucy (played by Ella Purnell) who is likely to be mentored by Walton Goggins’ Ghoul. Apart from that, it will also feature the Brotherhood of Steel, a quasi-religious technocratic military order featured in all the games.
