It was great to be apart in the making of this even if most was behind the scene, but it gave me taste and now i crave it. It's great that you all did a local premiere which was awesome! I hope everyone who was connected somehow to this movie has been able to see and share it with others. its great that movies can be made throughout California. and thanks so much for being apart of it, including me into this new realm of film!
in other words this movie is a good fun-hearted film. I really enjoyed how they had local actors and such as well as a few big names, which made for an interesting connection on and off the screen. Seeing how multiple shots may filmed in one day and then to see the final layout of the movie was a really neat experience. All the actors really got into character and didn't let it slip which was beneficial to the quality of the movie.

There is a famous classic episode of Married With Children where Peg sells Al's Playboy collection and he goes into crisis mode to get them back. It was good for a half hour TV comedy, but make a feature film about people who get their vicarious thrills from them?
With the exception of Ron Jeremy I can assure you there is no one you ever heard of in this lame film. Three going on 30 something losers sit around getting their jollies from a magazine called Showboys. They learn two things. First there's a contest the Hugh Hefner like owner is offering like Willy Wonka to take over his little pleasure factory. But there's also a plot against the owner's life. That's all these three lunkheads need to spring into action.
Showboys is truly one embarrassing film. I hope Ron Jeremy got his money up front before he did this thing.

Showboys is a hilarious movie with great actors, and great storytelling. There were zero plot holes, which is rare for an independent movie, but Showboys really pulled it off. The production value was off the charts, making it seem like a multi- million dollar budget, and all of the actors were perfect in their roles. There are very original lines, jokes, and overall scenes which makes it stand out from other comedies of its caliber, again a difficult task. I literally laughed so hard my abs hurt, and I'm certain the guy next to me pooped his pants a bit from the laughter. I would definitely recommend Showboys as a must see, and I'm certainly going to be buying a copy of it when it's out on DVD.
