This movie makes me think of old college dorm clichés about matching our psyches with our selected majors -- we select fields of interest because they somehow reflect our needs. Papa Zeus is a funny look at a shrink's neurotically grand visions of himself.
Whether he's deranged by events of his own life, or just "genetically" neurotic, Zeus the shrink bumbles his way through psychiatric and other relationships, administering his wacky view of reality to his ever respectful and at least seemingly unquestioning followers. And while Zeus carries on like the inspector Clouseau of psychiatry, the movie pokes great fun at all the blind followers out there -- in corporate, social, institutional and other hierarchies.
