Denise Richards was involved in a road rage incident on the way to set where she and her husband, Aaron Phypers, were followed and shot at by an irate driver. They pulled up with a bullet hole in their truck, stating she still wanted to work, and ended up filming all her scenes for 12 hours.
Denise Richards's character, Deborah, was originally supposed to be Nicholas Turturro's character, Newton, from the first Angels Fallen (2020). The scene was rewritten to accommodate Denise Richards after she signed on. There is a reference made to Newton in the scene.
Several references to the first Angels Fallen (2020) were omitted, including a Gabriel (Houston Rhines) cameo, a reference to Ivy (Hailey Hermida) with a repeat of Michael (Michael Teh) saying, "I'll never be dead as long as she's alive," and a scene featuring Nicholas Turturro reprising his role of Newton. The references that remain in the film include Gabriel referencing Newton in the weapons scene and Michael referring to "someone he knew," which was a reference to Gabriel from Angels Fallen (2020).
Lee Kholafai appears in both Angels Fallen (2020) and Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace (2024), but as different characters. Though the character of Balthazar returns, he is instead played by Cuba Gooding Jr. rather than Michael Madsen. The only character from the first film to reprise his original character is Michael Teh as Michael.
