Poor Boys is just as good as Cheech & Chong, Harold & Kumar, and every other typical stoner movie. Love it
"The Poor Boys" is an old school buddy comedy in the vein of early Kevin Smith work. It's a simple story about two broke guys, Mac and Sully, who's only goal is to pay their rent on time. The film has witty writing and two outstanding performances from its lead actors Michael Klinger as "Mac" and Tyler Rice as "Sully". There are definitely some moments that will make you cringe. The film is also relevant to current economical times where for many Americans happiness is "surviving the day". It's simply directed by Jack Letterel and Brian Wolfe who seem to focus primarily on capturing their actors strong performances. When you're ready for a laugh, "The Poor Boys" delivers a fun excursion that post college kids struggling will most certainly relate to, while also learning what "not to do" to avoid eviction. The film is prepped for a late 2013 release...
