    Alone with M. Carter

I saw Alone with Mr. Carter in Montreal and I'm not surprised it got selected at Frameline San Francisco and so many other places. The script, the actors, the photography all contribute to the creation of a magical moment. The young Robert Naylor broke my heart playing the homosexual child. All he does is so deep and sensitive. I recommend everyone to go see it, 10/10!

I already knew Jean-Pierre Bergeron as a wonderful actor. Alone with M. Carter is his first effort as a writer/director. I didn't know he was equally talented in those other areas. Jean-Pierre Bergeron, you did a beautiful job! Bravo! :-)

    Delightful film

I was very touched by the simpleness yet powerful thoughts of Alone with Mr. Carter. Makes you reflect on the subtleties of life and the impact that one person can have on another. In a world were some are still afraid, a young boy finds the courage to confront what some are still questioning...to love of another person of the same sex. A true reflection of what some live everyday. I found this short quite refreshing and "real" I was quite moved by the performance of the young boy. I found him very convincing and felt the pain he felt when trying to decide how he will express his feelings to the older man. In all the ensemble was very dynamic and was well casted. A true gem Thank you

    a poem

An old man. And a boy. A link so delicate than it is easy to see it as too risky subject. But, in this case, it works. In admirable manner. Because it is a story about deep friendship. About sensitivity of ages. About atmosphere of a small place. About the force or mark or emotion inspired by the other.Because Robert Naylor does a magnificent job. In real sense, this short film is a poem. About the most significant things defining us. About love at early age. And about the age of compromises. All simple and freshness.

    Words are not enough

The cast is just amazing, each one of them are so real you can project yourself in their inner conflict without any problem. They're giving us the space to really understand what's going on emotionally. The acting is "magistral", sensitive yet not dramatic. Jean-Pierre Bergeron took a subject that could easily be heavy and transformed it in something light and funny to watch, the message go trough so easily. I liked the simplicity of the film, the characters are people like you and I, the focus is on the main line of the story, nothing to take your attention elsewhere.

It's a pleasure to watch, I REALLY enjoyed it. Hope you will as well! :)
