Erin Burnett is the consummate broadcast professional. If I can only view one daily news show, 'Out Front' is by far the best.
Erin Burnett came to CNN with a background as a financial and international reporter - originally wanting her show to focus on global markets, she made the turn to domestic-only focus given the demands of contemporary audiences though that international political economist training still provides her with a lot of insight that others simply do not have. She thinks in 'big picture' while recognizing how each small nuanced part can alter the larger whole - and she makes it clear to her audiences.
She is open with her opinions, but she is well-reasoned, logical and factually driven. You don't have to agree with her personal views to recognize the quality of her analysis and approach. That can't be said of many nighttime anchors whose views are presented as facts. Indeed, sometimes it may seem Burnett does the same - until you realize that she is simply stating factual information with a passion in her voice and strong analytical skills.
She can get overly self-righteous at times, but show me a nighttime anchor who doesn't. She certainly isn't nearly as bad as her own network's Chris Cuomo.
Burnett is my only nightly news program that I really try not to miss. There are plenty of other great ones, and the contemporary disinterest in international politics and markets has made some of Erin's sharpest skills seem less useful than they should be (and hopefully will be with the change in Administration).

She lies, and is super biased. Report the facts. Where do you even go to journalism school to learn such bias?

Erin Burnett seems like that captain of the high school softball team in some fancy suburb who decides she's going to be a journalist, catches the attention of some softhead who decides they're going to make it happen, and, poof, there she is. If there was some remarkable talent involved, I don't know what it is.
But she can really make your teeth itch with her biases, and I don't just mean politically. This is the "journalist" whose first question to Andrew Yang after the Presidential Debates is a sensitive "What's it like to be the only minority on stage?" but who then squirts lots of tears night after night for all those White people in Ukraine. She seems particularly hard faced -- and she has a hard face -- when it comes to the tragedies of some people but then all gushy and sobbing with others. Judge for yourself by watching a few times and see if you see any patterns emerge.
Meanwhile, she just regurgitates the four or five stories of the day every other news show on CNN talks about. CNN has really been sinking lately. They're no longer really first in reporting live news, and their pundits all seem completely interchangeable. I understand running a news network must be hard, but that's the profession these folks have chosen.
