I came across Adam Ellis randomly on Instagram some years ago and loved his comic strips. The way he fearlessly spoke his mind and proudly talked about his sexuality was great, and to see some of his story told through hilarious comic strips was truly awesome. Then, I saw something different from the brilliant comedy we had come to expect. It was a horror story and it was phenomenal.

The story was about him pulling a hangnail that eventually caused his skin to fall. It was odd but intriguing and I wanted more. Thankfully, Adam Ellis provided the world with a book of his art and stories called Bad Dreams in the Night. It’s an anthology of terror and deserves all the praise in the world.

Prince is one of the most fascinating and talented musicians of the last half-century. The Peabody Awards and Center for Media & Social Impact have unveiled the all-star lineup for the second-season of their We Disrupt This Broadcast podcast.

Season two, the first episode of which is out today for free across all major podcast platforms, will feature the creatives behind Shrinking, Mo, Severance, Bad Sisters, Andor and Hacks along with more industry figures.

Shrinking showrunner Bill Lawrence and co-creator and writer Brett Goldstein, who joined the cast of the Jason Segel-led Apple TV+ series in season two, are the first guests on We Disrupt This Broadcast.

Subsequent episodes, released every three weeks, will feature Mo Amer (Mo), Ben Stiller and Adam Scott (Severance), Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Tony Gilroy (Andor) and Jen Statsky (Hacks).

There are few horror movie villains more memorable than the unhinged, chaotic, and oddly charming Stu Macher from Scream. Matthew Lillard’s portrayal of the knife-wielding goofball-turned-killer made him a fan favorite, even though he met a very definitive end in the 1996 classic.

Exclusive: Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ward Horton and Albert Jones are being promoted to series regulars for the upcoming third season of Netflix’s The Night Agent, Deadline can reveal.

On the action thriller series based on Matthew Quirk’s novel, Evans-Akingbola plays secret service agent Chelsea Arrington, with Horton as Governor Richard Hagan, and Jones as Deputy Director Aiden Mosely.

Shawn Ryan, the show’s creator, showrunner and executive producer, confirmed Evans-Akingbola’s Season 3 return in a recent interview with Deadline. A fan favorite, she returns to the series regular status she held in Season 1 after only making a cameo in the second season. Horton’s promotion was presaged by the Season 2 finale, which found his antagonist Hagan poised to become the next president. We talk about Star Trek-inspired properties a lot over on our site. We mention The Orville, Galaxy Quest, and other Star Trek-themed, or inspired shows. Yet, one that we don't talk about a lot is the horror-anthology series, Black Mirror.

A modern-day Twilight Zone, Black Mirror does all the same things that the iconic Twilight Zone used to do, just with more emphasis on technology than the 1960s horror series used to. The cultural examinations, the lessons, and the concepts are pretty universal across both shows and Black Mirror mostly does an excellent job of filling in where Twilight Zone left off.

On Thursday, Netflix revealed its full 2025 TV slate. The lineup includes the final seasons of two of its biggest shows, Stranger Things and Squid Game, and a second season of its other biggest show, Wednesday. It also includes promising-sounding limited series like Black Rabbit and The Four Seasons, returns of longtime Netflix favorites like Black Mirror and Chef’s Table, an overwhelming number of sports documentaries, and dozens more shows.

The biggest piece of news in the announcement is the startlingly soon release date for Squid Game Season 3. The second and third seasons shot back-to-back, and so the final season is slated for June 27, just six months after the release of Season 2. Netflix also revealed a handful of previously unannounced projects, including a 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina documentary that counts Spike Lee as a director, and a Long Island serial killer docuseries from director Liz Garbus.

We finally have a clue about “Wednesday” Season 2, and it is all thanks to a promotional clip from Netflix. The streaming giant slipped in a teaser for the new installment into a reel that was shown during its Next on Netflix event for 2025.

The promo reel in question serves as a celebration of nearly every major Netflix original. The video opens on a young woman who is bored during a work meeting and tries to covertly watch “Stranger Things” on Netflix. The signature “Tudum” of the app does not just pique the interest of all of her co-workers; it literally sucks her into the world of Netflix originals.

Netflix has quite a large slate of new and returning series coming in 2025. The slate was previewed Wednesday at the streamer’s annual Next on Netflix event in Los Angeles, which was also streamed across the globe.

Some of the most anticipated projects include Stranger Things 5 and Wednesday Season 2, neither of which have premiere dates just yet. So far, Netflix has revealed a huge slate for February, as well as a smattering of series that are expected through August, but a large portion of the series the streamer says we’ll see this year haven’t been confirmed for a specific date yet.
