Lifetime's June Carter Cash biopic is adding some star power to the iconic singer's family. Frances Conroy (American Horror Story, Six Feet Under) has been tapped to play June's mother, Maybelle Carter, with X's John Doe on board to play June's uncle, A.P. Carter, the network said Monday. Kristin Davis and her daughter, Gemma, played together at an La park yesterday. The duo smiled while together at the swings, and Kristin even joined Gemma for a trip down the slides. Kristin became a mom to baby Gemma through domestic adoption in the middle of 2011. We had a first look at Kristin Davis's daughter back in February. Kristin has since focused on motherhood with a few exceptions for work. She appeared in February's Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and the TV movie Of Two Minds. Kristin's personal life has been exciting as well. According to reports, Kristin Davis is dating Aaron Sorkin, and they've been seeing each other for nearly two months. He was pictured out in La with Kristin last week, and even looked to be getting along well with Gemma. Aaron gave Gemma a ride on his shoulders as the trio left their car and headed off for a walk.

For years, Lifetime haters have railed against the dull, amateurish, soapy original movies shown on this cable channel. Well, step away from the TV set, doubters, the new original Lifetime movie, Of Two Minds , smashes all of those generalizations. This is an engrossing movie and is led by a pitch perfect performance by Tammy Blanchard. When awards are handed out next year she should be at the front of the line.
