This is a well-presented Joan Baez biography with pictures and videos from beginning to end, 2009.
We also get snippets of the people in her life; following Joan for over half a century you may think you know her and may have collected many of her albums, but she says you really do not know her.
Well, we get re-introduced and hear some pieces of our favorite songs bringing back some good memories - they might not be what you remember, but better.
I am afraid that even though I was mesmerized by her singing and still listen to her albums that I was a tad on the other side of her political coin. All for freedom and as such, but volunteered for Vietnam; I was in and out before she got there. We just missed each other again at Woodstock;
Still, you will what to keep a copy of this documentary to watch over again.

Good overview of Joan Baez' life and career gives special emphasis on her activism as well and leaves enough room to present the artist in her own words.
