Cate Blanchett, Jack Black, and Owen Vaccaro in The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

Crazy credits

The House with a Clock in Its Walls

Edit

The Universal Pictures logo is the 1970s version, from the era when the "House With a Clock in its Walls" story was first published (1973). It also runs backwards, in keeping with the titular clock's magical power.

During the closing credits, the chair chases the winged lion topiary with a chainsaw. Then a statement appears: "No chairs or topiary griffins were harmed in the making of this film."

There are crazy credits for two non-speaking parts in the closing credits, regarding two important computer generated digital characters in the movie - "Griffin tamer - Chair" and "Chair hair and makeup - Griffin".

The closing credits sequence are filled with with characters and objects from the film, in the artwork of Edward Gorey (a Goth artist who collaborated on John Bellairs novels).

At the end of the closing credits, the film's cast wave goodbye.

The Amblin Entertainment logo is the 80s version.

The Reliance Entertainment logo is sepia-toned.
