Manami Ota, a female boxer, had a happy marriage, but she lost her husband Hitoshi Ota from an illness. Now Manami is raising her 5-year-old daughter, Emi, as a single mother. However, life does not go well as a single mother. Yoko Ota, a mother-in-law who is worried about Emi's future, decides to dispute Emi's child support rights with Manami in court. Emi is the only "light of hope" for Manami who is trying to rise from the sadness of losing her husband. Taking Emi is equivalent to death for Manami. Yuka Tanigawa, a childhood friend, defends her as a lawyer, but Manami, who has only a part-time job and can't earn livings expenses, is becoming more and more disadvantaged in court.
