India Summer plays a pivotal role in this edition of a long-abandoned Girlfriends Films series, and gets no screen credit. It's because of the label's seriously misguided policy of not crediting a performer unless said player is being paid as a sex worker. Sounds crass, and it is.
She plays a minister who conducts lesbian marriages, even if they're not legal -more of an honorary ceremony. (Recall this is a 2009 video, before progressive laws were passed.)
In an unusual scene, India interviews Georgia Jones and Faye Reagan, a real-life couple, who discuss the prospect of legalized marriage and then have a sensual sex scene -not quite fitting the series format.
The opening segment is a model of restraint and good taste, terms that don't usually come to mind while watching the average Girlfriends release. We see Prinzzess in a lovely wedding gown and veil plus Renee Perez in a tuxedo exchanging vows (without a minister), then heading to the bedroom to consummate the marriage - a straight-ahead scene with no gimmicks or silliness whatsoever.
India marries two more couples, and the show ends with Bobbi Starr's romance with Dana DeArmond, far removed from the usual extreme gonzo behavior associated with these two actresses.
