The series is primarily filmed in Vridsløselille State Prison. The prison was built near Copenhagen in 1859 and functioned as a prison until it was closed in 2017.
Series based on the novel Fangeleg which has two related translations in Dutch - Tag Game ( a children's game of catching a person) and more literally Prison Game (where of course the participants, both prisoners and warders are to a degree already caught in the system).
