I'm very excited about the prospect of 20th Century Fox's X-Men team returning in the MCU, as it means an iconic Summers family moment could finally be depicted in live-action after 24 years. Marvel Studios folded Fox's X-Men franchise and the heroes it contains into the McU's main continuity in 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine, dubbing this alternate reality Earth-10005. I loved that this canonized many of my favorite mutant heroes, while also creating the opportunity for some of them to be revisited in the McU's future.

While some of the actors from Fox's X-Men franchise have already reprised their roles in the MCU, I'm still waiting for the likes of James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Halle Berry, Josh Brolin and Ian McKellen to return to their legendary roles. Three of these names, in particular, fill me with hope that one of the most shocking moments from Marvel Comics' history could finally be seen in live-action.

As Thor steps down from the Avengers, he's being replaced by another iconic Marvel god. Recently, Thor was framed for the murder of supervillain Roxxon CEO Dario Agger, aka the Minotaur. With Marvel movies being so prolific, it is a shame that one of the most underrated actors of this generation was wasted on two of them. While the MCU now dominates the superhero genre, live-action Marvel movies have been on the scene since the 1990s with Wesley Snipes' Blade trilogy.
