Ron Cephas Jones shot the bulk of the film in summer 2010 while also playing Caliban in Sam Mendes' Bridge Project at London's Old Vic theatre.
Paul Berriff and Jeremy Valender co-DOP'd shooting in summer 2010, cross-firing scenes to capture action and reaction shots at once. Mattias Nyberg worked on the digital elements of the dream sequence shot in summer 2011, with Carlos De Carvalho working on the 35mm sequences.
